well, he's a top 20 HW on most lists. he's usually the guy i bring up when talking about HW champions with a bad chin.

IIRC, he was the only guy to ever regain the HW championship when he beat johanssen. kinda crazy, when you think about that. the names on his resume aren't terrible, and he only lost to very solid fighters.


he also boxed when HW boxing was ridiculously popular in the states, which elevates his esteem. that doesn't speak to his ability, obviously.

I guess he would have to be since we haven't had more than 20 or so heavyweight champions, even if that. But I get your point - he also were the youngest ever champion, and still is, depending on how you look at things. He has some solid names on his record but also some rather embarrassing losses, for example to Johanssen who was outclassed in sparring by a 18 year old Cassius Clay before the rematch.

Chuvalo & Bonavena late in his career were ok - his best win probably Eddie Machen or an old Archie Moore. Other than his win over johansson of course. His record as champion is probably the weakest of any legit champion I can think of .

i don't understand how people can think wlad is boring. wlad always brings the pain, always tries to get the KOs, and always tries to make the fights exciting. what's boring about that??? and its his opponents who do all the clinching most majority of the time and not him. and its his opponents who get scared and intimidated by wlads power that they refuse to fight. people need to stop the hate.

wlad doesn't run around only playing tag, and head locking his opponents constantly and wlad isn't extremely uncharismatic with a poop style like ward.

I don't find either Boring to be honest...Wlad can let a fight get very sloppy but it is not his fault the Heavyweight Division ****** all these years and he was stuck fighting Inferior Opponents who just allow him to do what ever he wants and not make him pay for it

As for Ward...WTF are some of you talking about, Ward been cleaned up the Clinching and Headbutts, that haven't been a problem or a issue since probably the Bika fight in which it was Bika doing all of the negative stuff.

Mayweather is Mayweather, I seen Prime Mayweather so maybe that is why I don't mind his style but this is a PRIME MAYWEATHER before the Brittle Hands:

If I was a 17 year old who got into boxing when Pacquiao became famous then yes I could see why others find Mayweather to be boring.

For these Elite Fighters, you have to match them up with other Elite Fighters so that they can bring the best out of each other. Unfortunately for them, their are no other Elite Fighters for them so they are just breezy through the competition and yeah that is boring watching 1 Guy do what ever he wants while the other guy is struggling to land a clean punch. It is not your job to make things easy for your opponent. Do your homework and come up with a Strategy for all their tactics, don't cry and complain about it after the fight when you know that is how they fight coming into the damn fight
