no, fmw is ducking certain styles. show me one fighter on fmw's resume since 2006 at 147 who is similar in skillsets to lara, andrade thurman and brook. and i can include 154s because fmw has the darn belts and defended them against maidana, lol, instead of #1 and 2# contenders lara and andrade or you think maidana can beat both of them, lol, which was ridiculous. ole man mosley don't count

how convenient fmw wants thurman, porter, brook, spence etc to knock enough off but he didn't want ortiz, guerrero canelo and maidana all flat-footed to knock enough other off while he fights han and probably danny garcia after haymon protects his "0" at 147 with soft touches like paulie

there's a reason why i've never purchased one of his ppvs. dude doesn't take 50.50 fights.

I can put my head on a block that no one between 140 and 154 beats Floyd.
People are about to go crazy to see Cotto vs Canelo but they are not remembering how easily Floyd took both of them apart. Neither Cotto or Canelo are asking for a rematch and there is a good reason for not asking for it.
I hope he gives Amir Khan a chance in September so that the world can see that Amir Khan is not as good as many feel.
Floyd's fight with Cotto was definitely not easy. Cotto made him work for most of those rounds and he took some hard hits to nose and mouth. I think even Floyd said that was one of his toughest fights.

Floyd has truly looked unimpressive in his last three fights (one can even make an argument that he didn't even win his most recent one) and none of them tells us how well he does against skilled natural welterweights (like Thurman, Porter, or Brook).

So what if he's fighting Luis Collazo? Doesn't mean he doesn't deserve the Mayweather fight.

You are a straight up Mayweather hater!!!!!!!

Give the man his is due as he fought the best of the best. He fought Hatton, Cotto, Canelo and Pac and beat them all.

            End of discussion!!!!!!!!!!

Skilled natural welterweight? And you name Brook, Porter and thurman? That has to be a joke lol... Brook and thurman would have zero chance, Brook is economical with his punches, doesn't have the experience of fighting at a bigger stage expect for the Porter fight, Thurman is wide and open all day long, he is too green with limited experience too, Porter is the only one out of the 3 that I would give thumbs up and that's because of his bull-like style... Fighting Thurman would be a joke and the easiest fight at welterweight right now for TBE.

Cotto took way more shots than Floyd in that fight. It's absurd to say that Floyd lost his last fight. You have your bias agenda so keep pushing out on this board.

Mayweather gets slower by the fight with those baits, and Thurman is a half-decent counter puncher. With his bouncy, ambushy style and power, maybe he cracks Mayweather like Maidana did and beats him. Not as likely as Mayweather beating him to the punch over 12 rounds, but very possible.

Though i think thurman is just another fighter that doesnt beat floyd unless floyd age catches up but would make sense if he got himself a big win. guerrero was a big win but hes gone backwards since and even guerrero was not even close to the same fighter he used to be

Yep, I agree with you guys.

Thurman needed to follow-up after Guerrero.

No welter has put together two good back-to-back wins.

The disappointing factor is that most of the top welters had an opportunity to back-up and stage a big fight earlier this year, but they chose not to.

                      Maybe in your mind.

Thurman is two levels below Mayweather, and way short on experience.

That fight would be a soft-touch, and an obvious cherry-pick.

IMHO, Mayweather can sing for his supper unless he fights a top guy.

I'm not contributing to his retirement fund unless its a top fight.
