i don't think he'll be ready in a couple of months. he's just too eager to make a statement toward his detractors and haters.

Manny Pacquiao actually went under the knife, and he's seemingly talking about being ready to at least go into camp three months removed from the surgery. Playing devil's advocate or not, there's a deep disconnect when the issue is given any real thought.
If Floyd taking eight months to fight after hurting his shoulder is something to be skeptical of, what is there to say about Pacquiao healing from actual surgery and possibly being ready to fight within 6 months (two months from the Pacquiao comment gets you till late August, and a full 15-week fight camp would only get you till the end of November)?

I still don't see the relevance, btw. You're bringing up a fight from years ago that Mayweather won, where there is audio of him complaining about being injured and getting it worked on in the corner.

He said "I think it will be recovered in 2 months". He's self-diagnosing himself like Floyd apparently did lol. That doesn't necessarily mean he'll be training or fighting in 2 months.

I'm two and half months removed from my shoulder surgery. I was out of my sling in a month and have made a lot of progress thus far due to going to Physical Therapy three times a week in addition with doing at-home exercises every day (4-5 times a day) and I'm doing it naturally. I'm sure he has a whole team around him and they're giving him HGH to speed up the recovery. This isn't hard to believe at all.

He tore a different part of the shoulder then I did (I had a SLAP tear - mostly posterior labral tear), but I would say by the beginning of October he will be 100%

Even if Pacquiao's self-diagnosis is off by a factor of two, he'd still be in line to having a full 15-week fight camp and still step into the ring before Christmas.
Why you continue to push Floyd resting his shoulder for five months (followed by a 12-week camp before the rematch, and at the age of 25) as being equivalent to Pacquiao apparently going under the knife and being recovered in half the time, at the age of 36 no less, is a bit sketchy.
self-diagnosis or otherwise.
