this would be good for roc nation. they have a 5 fight deal so they could get rid of ward in a year. obviously paying him 2 million a fight and having to buy time on BET hurts but they shouldn't compound a mistake by making more. just let ward drift quietly into bolivian.

The man has only defended his title 6 times in the last 5 years. 5 years!!!!! The equivalent of defending it once a year... Any other fight wouldn't even be considered for the HOF

And I do not believe that Ward deserves consideration for the HoF at this point in his career. He needs many more fights against quality opponents before that happens. As far as I am concerned, he needs to either unify all the SMW titles, something never done before, or defeat both GGG and Kovalev by stoppage to earn a spot. That would get him into the Hall in my view but not make him an ATG. For that, he would need to move to SMW and unify all the titles at that class as well with wins over Kovalev, Stevenson and Beterbiev.

Right now he is neither an ATG nor a HOFer but he will enter the record books as the winner of the Super Six.

Agreed... Ward has done actually very little in his pro career. The super six was a great thing for his career but unfourtanitly it doesn't mean much when defining a career. He needs big fights and needs to fight much more often but I don't see award wanting to fight more than Once or Twice a year. At that pace and current opposition I don't see him ranking high in the ATG talks or Hall of Fame. Probably will but will it be deserved? Right now, No!

Jay Z's going to have to put Beyonce on some extra tours to pay for all these Andre Ward fights.

As of right now I don't even consider Froch in line for a place in the HOF either.

... "bolivian" should be spelled with a capital O...

i'd want my fighter fighting four times a year if i was making 10%, too.

10% of a 2 million dollar payday is 200 grand. that's a hell of a lot more than most people make in a year.
