Brook, himself, isn't PPV material in the UK, so this makes sense.
With Joshua and a couple of other prospects on the undercard, and the Mayweather fight later in the night, it should be a successful PPV.
Brook-Rios as a standalone fight, though, stinks.

I am actually ok with this fight, a solid name but safe option for Kell so he can get more exposure in the states and hold on to the strap. I fancy Kell UD. I hope Mayweather fights on Boxnation again, the Floyd ass licking on sky is unreal. Sky only gave like two rounds to Manny when Floyd gave him 3 lol

Absolutely nothing wrong with this fight.
Thurman and Bradley are both scheduled, so to suggest that he should be in next with either of these guys is ridiculous.
Khan is obviously taking a string of low risk fights in order to prepare for Floyd, needs no more discussion.
If anybody could shed any light on what Maidana is up to that would be sound. Would be a good future opponent.
Rios is up a level from Jo Jo Dan and Frankie Gavin, and certainly better than anybody he fought before winning the title from Porter. Brook isn't exactly a NOBODY in the US, their fight fans will have noticed him take that title from Porter. Problem is it wasn't exactly an entertaining fight, looking good against Rios will do him no harm.

Ummm, well what can I say? Frank Warren delivers for his fighters. Buglioni doesn't deserve it, but it was obviously good money for Chudinov to give a f.ck. Plus not bad coming off of beating a seasoned Champ in Sturm.
Not to mention this is the same belt Froch was holding all this time cuz his daddy who roughed him with one hand had the real one.

I know that they are in different time zones but still... How much of a delusional dumbfuck you have to be to put your show on the same date as Mayweather's PPV?
Originally posted by HEND View PostAnd what happened with the "it must be August" thing? If it's in September, then the opponent why isn't someone better than Rios? It starts to get annoying that they either cherry pick or choose C level brawlers with the goal to Brook look good. Dan Ion --> Gavin --> Rios? Such a murderers row...
Thurman can take a fight in September, Bradley probably also can, a rematch with Porter (who fights next in September) would also be better than a Brook vs Rios target practice fight. Hell, even Chaves would be a better opponent to Brook. But it's all right Hearn can't milk that belt forever. One day they will get a credible mandatory challenger at least, I guess...
Thurman and Bradley are fighting Collazo and Jessie Vargas respectively who are far worse than Brandon Rios.
Diego Chaves is pretty much a no name in America. He is an opponent. He was an opponent to Rios himself. Rios does good ratings on HBO. You seriously are a delusional dumb*** if you can't understand that.

Hearn says he would love the Bradley fight after Rios so lets see afterwards.
