  • Comments Thread For: Kell Brook-Brandon Rios on Sept. 12th, Says Hearn

With chances of a hoped-for dream fight with undefeated pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr looking unlikely, Kell Brook looks set to defend his IBF welterweight title against Brandon Rios in London this autumn.

Sky Sports reported that Brook had been hoping to share a ring with the WBC, WBA and WBO champion in his planned farewell fight in Las Vegas on September 12 after he extended his unbeaten record to 35 straight wins, 24 by knockout, after stopping Frankie Gavin in six rounds in the second defense of his title last month.

Brook by Late Ko. Rios has taken a lot of damage in his fights, it's soon gonna catch up to him. But that doesn't mean much since I believe Rios belongs at welterweight!

Target practice for Brook. Rios has a hell of a chin, probably late round KO, but should be an easy, dominating win for Kell.

Hope to see him in tougher fights next time.

War Rios!!!!!!!!!!!!! Brooks gonna run all night. He cant hurt Rios so he wont go to war with him. If he does Rios will stop Brook.

Was hoping to go to Bramall Lane and see this Aug 29 but looks like it's going on the same night as Mayweather (unfathomably), another bog standard 02 date. Bramall Lane would've been something special

There's nothing ordinary about London's O2? It's the best indoor arena in the world.

The atmosphere in that arena is frightening.

How are they running a Brook PPV on September 12th if Floyd fights Khan in which would surely be on Sky PPV also?

Kell Brook is going to beat Rios more impressively than #48 did.
