That's why I'm saying Thurman should build his name also. It would be PPV in the UK obviously, but if Thurman was to fight a Broner and Porter or a khan and win on CBS/NBC Showtime could easily buy that fight and stick it on PPV in 12-18 months.

But right now the money isn't there to make the fight happen and we know Thurman is not coming to the UK.

Brook-Thurman will happen, both guys want it and have a lot of respect for each other. Brook needs to become a bigger name in the US for a Thurman fight to be lucrative though. That's exactly the POINT of this fight - raise Brook's profile.
        By fighting rios in england????

Some people would point to my boy Carson Jones doing a number on Brook in their first fight as a reason for Rios maybe pulling this off, but I'd like to point out that Carson spent most of his career at 154-160 before moving down to 147.

Brandon is small and, thus far, pretty ineffective at 147. I ride hard for Rios, but dude needs to take things more seriously and try to make 140.

The fight will be live and on tape delay on HBO in America, Rios draws good ratings on HBO. Will be Brook's first fight on HBO I believe.

You must agree that Calzaghe got cheated against Hopkins because Hopkins clinched and wouldn't let him punch inside?

First we said jo jo dan, mandatory fair enough, how many fight has it been since then tho?? The injury fair enough, but that dosnt look like its slowed him down at all...point being stop dropping names and taking the easier fights that they said they wouldnt be doing
Exactly, id like to root for Brook but hes just not consistent with his comp...whats the point of having the title? he just went bk to fightn at the same level as before Porter.

Good fight for both guys... Rios gets paid and a title shot... Brook's profile will raise after he beats the hell out of rios, especially if he can stop him...
