Which is why it was such a shock when Calzaghe beat up Lacy. If Shaw ever thought Calzaghe was half as good as he really was they would've never agreed to fight in the UK.

No. GGG Sets up his attack with effeciency and you can tell his amatuer back ground comes into play with his fundamentals. Lacy on the other hand was always looking for one punch and when he couldndt land it he was basically lost.

I was here when that fight took place. NOBODY saw that coming. I MEAN NOBODY outside of a few people from the UK itself. The fact that Calzhage always had a pull out injury didnt help neither on peoples perception of him. I hated seeing lacy lose like that, despite his obvious flaws, i liked lacy.

He's 33 already and with him being content fighting C class fighters he could be shot to **** before ever fighting an elite.

Shaw had a lot of confidence in Lacy. He didn't need PPV or "the economics to be right" for him to step up after just 21 fights.

I don't know what Golovkin has done to feel so entitled.

Yeah I remember. I liked Lacy, he was fun fighter looking to challenge himself. The only expert in the media I remember picking Joe was Greg Leon based on the Sheika fight and he was laughed at. The Reid and Vanderpool fights erased any doubts from the Sheika & Wiggins fights.

At the same time Joe was pretty much hated by most US fans. He was seen as just milking his title with really easy fights.

                  Lmao.... Absolutely not...

Golovkin is a silver medalist, and has crushed ranked competition..

Lacy was a weak amateur, and beat up on faded scott pemberton and Omar sheika...

Golovkin and lacy have zero in common

All this thread tells me is that a lot of people are going to vanish from NSB with their tail between their legs when someone finally grows a pair and GGG knocks them into his throat.
