Why even say it if it goes without saying? You only hear these kinds of things when you know the fight isn't going to be made. It's a built in excuse. Just take any recent & somewhat big fight, say Broner vs Porter - we didn't hear broner say "I'll only fight Porter if the finances are correct" and so on. You never hear this kind of stuff BEFORE the talks even begin; they may be legit during the talks or after if someone is low balled an offer. But before? C'mon. That's like Santa Cruz saying he'll fight Rigondeaux - for $3 million dollars, knowing damn well no one is paying him $3m.

Then you factor in immediately after the fight Gomez was talking about they have to fight a mandatory fight first, even though there isn't a mandatory yet. And then Oscar talking about Lemiuex will fight his mandatory, and then ANOTHER fight and then he'll fight Golovkin. It's obvious they aren't interested right now and Lemiuex is basically trying to save face here.

So you're admitting and accepting their is nothing attracting Lemiuex to fight GGG when he can continue to fight scrubs like Rosado, Ndam and Soliman and earn the same purse ? I take it you feel Lemiuex feels obligated to fight GGG out of some mystical birthright GGG was born with.

I've never had issue with GGG as a fighter, just his management, handlers and trainer. The statements have left me bewildered at times.

Lemieux captured the vacant title on Friday night with a twelve round unanimous decision over Hassan N'Dam, who went down four times in the contest.

There seems to be a conflict of information, with Lemieux's promoter Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy stating that his fighter is unable to face Golovkin until 2016 - because the IBF has ordered Lemieux to first make a mandatory defense. Golovkin's promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions contacted the IBF and claims they are fine with sanctioning a Lemieux unification.

I don't see this fight going past 5 rounds in GGG's favour although he's been taking shots to land his own lately, will be interesting to see how that works out against a big puncher.
