Oscar said that Lemieux will be on HBO from now on.

The "financials" have to be satisfactory for ANY fight to be made. That's why it is called prizefighting. But apparently it is easy for boxing message board posters to dismiss that as an excuse.

Well yeah HBO is going to have to open up the checkbook if they want this one. It is not PPV worthy here in the US, maybe it is in Canada though not sure

But yeah of course somebody is going to have to pay good money for this match up!

And what has Lemieux done so that he deserves more money in his first title defense than GGG has ever earned for a fight? Not to mention that he will be a distant B side to Golovkin in ANY fight in ANY venue?

Just about every fight that happens at that Bell Center in Montreal is a PPV fight in Canada. Lemieux - N'Dam was PPV. The only recent fight that was not PPV was the most recent Stevenson - Bika fight and that is only because it was on US network television which cannot be blacked out in Canada making a PPV impossible.

Don't even try to explain it, it's lost on them. Greens sent.

You answered your own question, Lemiuex is a ppv attraction, whilst GGG is simply GGG. Now you understand why GGG loiters around the middleweight division hanging around to fight guys who've been knocked out by guys he knocked out, and now you understand why he wants no part of the likes of Andre Ward and the super middles.
