If Porter is unable to get Mayweather, he would love to get another former champion, Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs), in the ring.

I'm pretty sure Porter-Thurman will headline a future PBC event later this year. Probably in October or November. I don't see neither guy fighting Spence, as Mayweather wants. May did say he wants Porter-Broner II on his Sep 12 undercard and Thurman-Spence.

Would be a great action packed fight. I am definitely a Shawn porter fan after he beat down Adrien broker like that. Shawn definitely deserves to fight the top welterweights. He deserves mayweather more than khan does. Imagine how bad porter would beat amir khan lol. But you could also look at it like kell brook beat Shawn porter so why wouldn't he deserve it more?

Great fight. I don't see Marcos bullying Shawn and would give it to Porter by decision. However, depends on which Chino shows up. He can be surprisingly sharp at times and an absolute neanderthal other times. If Shawn gameplans it right, he'll cruise because Marcos doesn't change gears well. If Porter plans to charge and smother, he'll be in serious shyt.

Well, he needs to hurry and come back before he his left in the dust. It's going on a year since he last fought. And only Marquez fight is even possible and he may be calling it a career soon.

Seriously, with the 6 digit paycheck from the Broner fight, then the two Mayweather fights, that guy is probably living the life right now, not thinking about boxing. It's a good and a bad thing. I mean he probably feels like, after these 3 paydays, i'm not tryna fight for $500k again. He probably can't get up for a fight unless it's Canelo, Cotto, Mayweather III, Pacquiao, Marquez.
