Yeah a great fight for Maidana now is Guerrero. This fight was once in place then cancelled deep in to camp when Guerrero cancelled for shoulder surgery, then never rescheduled. Left Maidana high and dry. Both fighters are at a cross roads in their careers now, and what better time to reschedule. They are both Al Haymon fighters.

Mayorga was an action fighter and landed PPv fights with tito, Oscar, vargas, shane, cotto..


If I'm Maidana, now that I have reached the pinnacle with a floyd fight, I'm not looking to fight Porter or thurman or any other contender... I'm selling out and being a mayorga and going to be the B-side to all the PPv caliber fighters...

he looked more surprised than hurt tbh, AB's power is very underrated as well. he hurt maidana bad in the 12th round of their fight and maidana admitted it too. AB is trying to fight defensively now which is why he isn't stopping any of his opponents

Nah he was hurt. Took him a while to clear his head. But yeah I don't see a Maidana fight happening any time soon. Porter-Garcia or even Khan would be good matchups.

Maidana doesn't want Porter or Thurman. He has been calling out Danny Garcia because he sees him as an easier fight: Danny has never faced a welterweight and has looked vulnerable against Herrera and Peterson.

Or as some of his fans said Maidana vs. Guerrero, who has looked shot to pièces in recent fights and would make Maidana look like a beast.
