Good Lord. I have never seen a man so obsessed with another man. Jesus, Paulie, when does your Vanity Fair cover come out?
Comments Thread For: Malignaggi: Team Pacquiao Confused on Shoulder Excuse
Collapse
-
Former two division world champion Paulie Malignaggi has never been the type to bite his tongue.
Malignaggi is not fully convinced that Manny Pacquiao suffered a serious shoulder injury during last month's fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
According to Pacquiao, he suffered a right shoulder injury (rotator cuff tear) during the fourth round of the fight and that affected his performance down the stretch.
Pacquiao had surgery the following week and is expected to remain on the shelf until next year.

Why couldn't he have had a tear since De La Hoya? Tears will get worse unless treated or given enough time to recover. In camp he was sparring with only his left-hand and was taking numerous days off before calling off sparring early and just rest for the last couple of weeks before the fight to hopefully get as much recovery in as possible.Comment

As for the tear, do you think it odd that no one heard or discussed this injury for so long? Wouldn't it have flared up in any of the fights or camps prior to this one?
Better put-do you find it in the least bit odd that it never flared up through all the punches thrown in the years since the ODH fight?Comment

He said he took time off for leg cramps, even spending huge money on some special cream. Was that a lie too?

No, he was much younger then, you heal much quicker. You're older, and explosive fighters are much more injury prone, 2 months off before returning eventually doesn't become enough and at some point it goes from keeping further damage halted to tearing away more than what you're healing, but it also could have simply been the shoulder clash in sparring like Roach said that really exasperated it.Last edited by SplitSecond; 06-24-2015, 12:34 PM.Comment

OK, the leg cramps had him take training off on two occasions(not sure for how long), and he was sparring with one arm because....?

He didn't spar with one arm the whole camp, lets not exaggerate that. I don't know why, other than maybe he wanted to focus on the left.
He threw more rights than lefts in the fight, right?
That isn't what Roach initially said in the post fight Presser, which Bob has now debunked. I get that you describe a plausible scenario, but with all due respect I doubt you'd buy that if this was another fighter we are talking about.
Floyd just took away Manny's best offensive weapon and casual fans that do not understand the nuances of the sport need a reason not to be pissed after paying $100- $100,000 to watch the fight live.
There is just too much evidence that makes this injury look bogus.Comment

what is he to do if they ask him a question about it and then answers it according to how he feels????? i saw the interview and he was asked these questions he didnt just start talking about itComment
