If so... then GGG should stop begging for PPV fights.

I don't know what those ratings mean, as I'm not sure what Roc Nation's goals for ratings were, but I do know that Andre Ward looked great.

Yes he was fighting Paul Smith, but he was sharp, accurate, and willing to close the show. This Ward should be welcomed back to HBO with open arms.

You are a pacquiao fan! Makes sense you would hop on GGG's nuts so fast.

Also, when did Cotto say he doesn't want to fight GGG? Link & quote please.
        Really that's your defense? I'm a Pacfan?

Look at my sig genius, I'm not nor will ever be a Pac fan(I'll root for him against certain fighters though)

        Try again.

And come on, everyone knows Cotto is scared shitless of GGG

how do you figure? golovkin's last fight drew only 200k fewer viewers than cotto's last fight, yet if they were to fight each other golovkin would probably accept a much smaller chunk of the purse. so it sounds like excellent business from cotto's perspective... so why doesn't he want the fight?

Golovkin vs Ward is going to happen.

Ward just had his tune up after a very long layoff, he's likely going to have another fight of a lesser opponent (better than Smith though) and Golovkin is still trying to accomplish his goals at 160. GGG was only willing to step away from those goals and temporarily move up to 168 if a big money fight presented itself such as Froch or Chavez. Since those are now gone, he's not going to move up in weight until he's at least collected another belt at 160 and/or fights a big name in cotto/Canelo. Which is fine since Ward announced he's staying at 168 and isn't going anywhere himself.

This means Ward will get another fight or two in, Golovkin will get another fight or two in and they'll come together in 2016. Works better for both parties since they'll likely be a lot more money to split after the fight builds itself.

Ward vs Golovkin will be one of boxings biggest fights next year.

I am not discussing wlad in this thread. How I feel about him is not related to Ward.

GGG and ward is a fight most of us want to see, regardless of how low the ratings for Ward/Smith was.

GGG is the a side, make the fight happen.

                  Wow talk about reaching!

You keep doing that. You are looking real intelligent.

It is funny to see all the Cotto-tards coming into this thread to just spew the same old crap they spew in every thread. Any chance they have to repost the same old shit, they can't help themselves.
just so that you know: canelo made a ppv vs fuccing angulo and both were coming off loses, the ppv did 375k buys enough to pay canelo-gbp around 10 mill, angulo 1 mill and showtime made another 10 mill for them selves ..
canelo made 5mill vs kirkland(1mill) on regular hbo... he also made similar money vs noname lara on ppv... as popular as ggg is i dont see why cant they find a way to make 4 mill to split on both fighters...

how do you propose he does that?

ward is the one with roc nation behind him - if he can convince them to cover the costs, then we've got a fight
