This is an amazing fight, where anything could happen. I have a feeling Thurman will pu$$y out though.

Porter Spence is not a great fight. Porter is a midget of a welterweight, and his style sucks.

Spence Thurman is where its at.

And they have history too, so if spence wants the fight then why not? Why are people making excuses or reading conspiracy into this? If spence doesn't think he is ready why would he take the fight?

It's funny how Floyd is trying keep natural welterweights like Thurman and Porter away from him.

Are you saying that Thurman and Porter would not be completely outclassed by Mayweather?

Is that what you're saying lol ?

Kell Brook is the best available, Floyd should fight Brook. Brook is a verry complete fighter! He has no real weaknesses IMO.

If they are actually pushing Spence to fight Thurman now, then I have to say something real shady is going on. Spence needs a little more time, ready or not. Why the hell do they want a prospect that has not even fought a B level fighter, to all of sudden fight one of the best at 147?

He should fight a Berto, Paulie, Broner, Ortiz... type level fighter.

Then a Devon Alexander, Porter, Guerrero, type fighter.

Then he is ready for a Thurman, Khan, Maidana, Thurman, Brook

He can go through these levels in a 10 months total. If they are in such a rush.

Neither thurman or porter has anything to gain from fighting spence at the moment, but I would love to see those fights, tho I think Spence has yet to reach his fullest potential.

Yea, it's extremely strange people are saying they don't want to see the best match up of the year.

" Oh no! We don't want to watch this amazing fight! Please just let them keep fighting over matched tomato cans."

Spence is a beast. He is ready. He says he is ready. He looks ready. He spars with the best. He is widely considered in the industry as the next super star. Why in the fug should he not go for a big fight and make a statement?

He's 25. Was Mayweather, or any other great fighter holding back until freaking 25? No.

I think there are just a lot of fan boys here, whose lame fanboyness is more important to them than good fights. On both sides. Thurman fans who are afraid he gets his ass kicked, and Spence fans who don't want to see him lose, and just fight soft opponents. Both of them are pathetic.

This is one of the absolute best matchups in years. Brilliant and mouth watering.
