It wasn't one big payday. It was 2. Maidana got the rematch. An honor only Castillo has shared.

It's easy to mouth off about discipline from an armchair, but it was Maidana's mental discipline that so troubled Floyd in the first place. He has a certain... Disciplined abandon that no doubt bleeds over into his overall character.

I don't think we've seen the last of El Chino!

El Chino is somewhere chillin with Chavez Jr... getting stoned and eating himself into the Middleweight division.

Maybe we'll get El Chino vs GGG in the near future.

What a waste of natural ability broner is, people would kill to have some of the skills he possesses yet he just chooses to abuse it.

He could have easily outboxed porter if he didnt have a lazy mindset, and in spots he made porter look ******, such a scrappy fight and he only has hiself to blame, i think this loss will affect him more because he knows he could have made porter look easy.

All that partying and **** never good for a top athlete and broner is the prime example of why.

Broner probably should have had a loss against PDL and showed he couldn't take pressure and volume punching against Malignaggi, it's just that Paulie couldn't maintain enough pressure and never hit hard enough. Maidana just took all that and added power and beat Broner like many expected.

Easily outvoted porter if he wanted? How does that work. If he could of he would of.

There were several times where porter was right in front of him slightly out of range. And broner was throwing straights and jabs and couldn't touch porter it was embarassing .couldn't close the slight gap

That's part of out thinking out boxing someone. And broner failed big time.

Didn't Hopkins say Chino took like a year or two out of Broners life or career. Lol I remember hearing something like that.

He definitely ruined Ortiz, but I wouldn't say he ruined Broner. Broner is the same guy now that he always has been. The difference is that he's no longer fighting smaller opponents that his size wears down after a few rounds. He has no idea what to do when he's in the ring with someone that isn't bothered by his punches and worn down by the 5th.

When Porter said he's more skilled than Maidana, I said in that thread that people often mistake fundamentals for skill. Maidana doesn't do it the way you're "supposed" to, but he's clearly a skilled fighter with an understanding of his strengths and how to utilize them. You don't bother Floyd Mayweather Jr. the way Maidana did twice if you don't have skills.

And to anyone who says he didn't bother Mayweather in the rematch, bull****. Mayweather wouldn't have spoiled the way he did if he wasn't bothered.
