I remember the fight and it does mean something. The last 3 and a half years also mean something, though. Ward has been wasting his talent, while Froch has continued to have a great career. I would love to see them fight again. Ward could boost his career back to where it should be, and Froch could try to avenge that one defeat left on his record.
We already know it has to be in England to draw any kind of revenue, so why not Nottingham? Ward should be confident of winning, and it should draw money, so what is the problem?Comment

I've always found this a bit odd myself but then I realized that it's all pretty relative if you think about it. The whole world would have known who Andre Berto was if he would made two decisions albeit one was a world disaster we won't hold against him; the first, sacrifice. Berto "chose" to cancel of his fight against Mosley to go tend to his relatives in Hatii, which is understandable, but a win there could have put himself in prime position to face Mayweather. Commitment, Berto simply peaked and never got better and while most will be quick to point out its Al Haymons fault for his lack of opposition ultimately the blame lies with Berto. This guy found a way to lose every career defining fight while simultaneously propelling the profiles of every Hispanic fighter that beat him. Victor Ortiz jumped right into Mayweather sweepstakes after delivering his best performance against Berto who many believe was being primed for Mayweather. Why did I choose Berto, b/c well for the most part at least on the surface, Andre Berto appeared to have all the ingredients to become a superstar. Flashy speed, super muscular physique, charm, a powerful promoter I meant manager, and most importantly the backing of the most network in HBO. Andre Berto has made more money than most of us will ever see but he's become the poster boy for what happens when black fighters lose focus and become less committed to the sport. Don't get me wrong there are some thing I consistently question but I always try to put things into perspective. Knock 30 guys out in a row, blind people want to pay to see you fight. Produce a sex tape, people want to pay to see you get knocked out. Win a gold medal but don't have the most crowd pleasing fights better keep winning until you 40 lol. Not really a race thing just that boxing hasn't really been a black thing in a long long time my friend, it's all about Any Given Sunday. After conducting this rant, I'll finally answer your question. What a black fighter has to do is follow careers paths of Tim Bradely, Keith Thurman and hopefully Terrance Crawford. These guys put on their respective hard hats and just go to work. They try to entertain but they make the most of their opportunity and that's all they can do. Consistently try to get better and do better in the process. Kind of like Um,"Reading" lolComment

Ward needs to prove he can do 3 things and he'll command attention. Consistently stay healthy, stay active, immediately step up his level of opposition. His next fight should be one of these 3 fighters (GGG,Stevenson, Pascal). He could get away with fighting Lucian Bute next but at least travel to Canada.Comment
