The irony here is Ward's cowardice made Froch a superstar. His refusal to travel allowed Froch to nab the Lucien Bute fight, win in style, and become a household name.

Froch sells-out stadiums; Ward can't even fill a small hall in his hometown.

Wards reluctance to face Bute in Canada allowed Froch to do everything you mentioned. Ward handled Froch quite easily but I always thought it was a great fight. Sometimes when the best fights the best it doesn't turn out how we'd like but Froch elected to make the most out of his opportunities thereafter.

Gotta appreciate Froch, he's the ultimate overachiever. He's fought ever damn body I just wish he had the opportunity to fight Kelly Pavlik. That would have been the bar fight from hell.
