Walters lost his title on the scales. Why should he get to hop, skip, jump all of the other top contenders in line for the title?

The point is fighting the other best guy in the division, the point is making a good ppv fight between 2 incredible fighters, this is more important than belts, the WBA that Walters had is now vacant, I'm sure the WBA would approve that Walters and Lomachenko fight in a WBO WBA unification bout, these are the best 2 fighters in the division.

Businesswise I think if Lomachenko doesn't wanna fight Walters now he should first unify the belts then move up and fight Walters later at 130, but from what this guy said in this interview it looks like they have no interest in fighting Walters at any weight cuz he'll always be bigger than Lomachenko.

Just imagine Floyd saying I'm not gonna fight Dela Hoya or Canelo cuz they're bigger than me, I bet u not Lomachenko will get away with this like it never happened, just like Kovalev got away with his racist pic, everything was alright, cuz it was all white.

I agree that's it's still a good fight.

But best believe if Lomachenko was the one missing weight and Walters didn't see the point in the fight it wouldn't be "all right", people would be calling him unprofessional, you're trying to make a race issue out of nothing based on nothing more than pure supposition. If you don't like white people, just say it because it's likely what everyone thinks now anyway.

I like both fighters and would maybe pick the axeman but Walters was the guy who screwed up this time, after fighting an overweight Salido and with no title on the line I can see why Lomachenko's team are not so keen.

Hopefully they can work something out.

Walters needs to go fight in his natural weight which is 135 to 140 leave the smaller fighters alone if you can't fight in your own weight class than you have no confidence in your boxing ability

1st Loma cant unify. The promotional landscape wont allow it right now. So he cant say its because Walters has no belt.

2nd, Team Loma can talk about the weight all they want, but if you were ready to face him at 126, dont tell me Walters suddenly becomes the Hulk at 128.

3rd, we as fans usually expect top p4p guys to fight guys bigger then them. Thats just the reality of expectations at that level. We shouldnt hold Loma to a lower standard.

4th, there is still no bigger money fight for Lomachenko at the moment. Fans demand it.

Half of boxing operates like this though. Can't hardly single Walters out.

The guy was out too long and then struggled to make weight, it happens. I believe he'd probably make 126 in a rematch and it's still a fight I'd like to see.

Losing the title and the chance he comes in overweight makes him a less attractive option for Lomachenko, but not to us fans, right now it's still the fight in and around the division. The winner is pretty much the man, certified.

I agree with the manager, Walters has no belt anymore, failed to make weight walks around at 160 pounds. He is no longer a featherweight.

Walters needs to be at 130-135 next, the guy couldn't even peel off a single pound to make 126, that shows he has outgrown the division.

I didn't say anything that would imply that I hate anybody, I was trying to say that Lomachenko will get away with this cuz against Walters he's a fan favorite cuz he belongs to the majority, which is white, the majority of the population is white and like black people tend to support black fighters and like mexicans support mexican fighters, whites support white fighters cuz they look the same, which is completely normal and this has been the case for the last 100 years.
