Option #2 is the real answer for most of the folks who felt that way. Options #1 and #3 were the excuses used to buy it. Option #4 gave them cover to rally around it.

was a great fight to be made, seen mayweather lose to JLC and margarito is a tougher JLC but when mayweather was blatantly ducking him turning down career high paydays than everyone jumped on the bandwagon. You gotta see it from a real prespective why in the world would a fighter who fights for a living to get paid will turn down the highest payday of his career for? Make people think that mayweather was afraid.

Probably because he has a good chin and is big. But a good chin still cant save you from getting outboxed. Little manny was too fast and quick for margarito floyd would just box the **** out of him and win a decision. There would probably be some moments were margarito would just walk through floyds shots and maybe hit him with something once or twice. Floyd would still just be too good and elusive and win.

I had no opinion back then, but the reason was because Floyd didn't want to fight him and admitted as such.

If Margarito would have kept winning until 09, im sure it would have happened

until 08 he was a boogeyman that didn't beat anyone worth much....Kermit Cintron was never an elite boxer so don't even go there
Exactly. Fighting Margarito, vis a vis beating up Margarito, or getting beat up by Margarito, pretty much all involved getting abused physically in the ring. The guy was sinew, bone and always in front of you. Even ****ing in and tieing him up would cause welts! Hes just one of those guys...we all know them! I knew a dog that had the same physical attributes as Margarito...

This dog, I sh11t one not, was hit by a Ford Escort, the Escort was totalled and the dog walked away fine (I love dogs so this is a happy ending). Thats Margarito! Can you imagine how Floyd's hands would be after pounding on that iron messican for 12 rounds!!!! I don't even want to think about it. And if Floyd gets a little too careless, comfortable in the corner, has anyone noticed those rocks Margarito carries around that go for fists?

I don't blame Floyd for avoiding Margarito, never have, never will... Margarito never earned the chance to fight Floyd in my book and while he would hurt Floyd physically, I doubt he would have won a round in the ring.

margarito couldnt carry castillo's jock strap....far more talented and skilled than Margo...he actually had a jab, could cut off the ring, counterpunch, box on the inside and outside

is all you guys see is size, speed and power?

he fought baldomir for similar money and the lineal title and wbc belt.....that meant a lot more than fighting a no name for a trinket bro

If Tony had something Floyd wanted..like a real title, not that WBO crap...he would have gladly fought that trash.
