It's like people are in here trying to convince themselves to believe in a lie lol

"Margs Iron Chin, he walks through anything Floyd throws"
Yes, let's act as if Floyd has ever been a seek & destroy guy. Let's act like Floyd goes into fights thinking he's going to alter your offense because he punches so hard.

"Floyd would have to dig deep & fight for 12 rounds"
Right, because Floyd has shown trouble with his stamina over the course of his 20 years career.

I know people who have never boxed in a ring a day in their life that would beat the living **** out of Margarito, he's really that bad

I think people buy a lotf of the things Arum says and his Margarito hype campaign apparently worked, people believed that Margarito's size, chin and stamina would give Mayweather problems. Roger Mayweather said it best, if you can't hit Floyd with the jab you can't hit him with ****, which is true, u NEED the jab against Floyd Mayweather and it is the punch that gives him the most problems, people watch the Castillo fight and say ok any guy who would bring the pressure and has a good chin could trouble Mayweather, which is wrong, Floyd was having a bad night like everybody else plus he was injured, Castillo tried the same thing again in the rematch and it didn't work, why? cuz he didn't have a decent jab and he couldn't feint well. Margarito's jab was very slow and I'm 100& sure Floyd can see it coming 99 times out of 100, Margarito never feinted, was extremely slow on his feet, he never knew how to cut off the ring properly and just followed his opponents around, also Margarito wasn't that devastating of a puncher, he had like 65-70% KO ratio which is ok for the level of opposition he's beaten and for the possibility of him having bricks in his gloves. I expected a Corrales type of performance against Margarito, he has a lot in common with Corrales and Corrales was much better and has faced and beaten way better fighters than Margarito did.
Hadn't Margarito beaten Cotto, Margarito would've ended up like Baldomir, a B level fighter who held a title for a while. That Cotto win is also extremely questionable.

We saw what the constant throwing from Augustus did to Mayweather.

Margs went through beatings from Manny and Mosley.

Cotto went through beatings from Manny and Margs, then add in his Mosley fight and Torres battering him around the ring for a whole round.

Now apply logic=Cotto is just better and Margs is a piece of **** who cheats and insults people with parkinson, or are we forgetting that?

All you have to do is watch a tinsy bit of Margarito before those fights and any man can tell you he was shot to ***.

Cotto clearly isn't shot still to this day.

                Margarito clearly was shot.

Floyds toughest fights have been against pressure fighters who outweigh him generally, so by that logic Margarito could have been tough for Mayweather.

Personally I dont think Margarito would have been a threat as he was too slow and too easy to hit, but there is always the chance that Margarito just keeps coming and coming and makes it difficult down the stretch.

As he was one of the top welters of the era it would have been a good name for Floyds resume

Margarito was never a threat and I never understood why people thought he was, his willingness to walk through punches is what would have made things a little tough but Mayweather would maintain the center of the ring and easily slide out. Mayweather isn't afraid to win in very boring fashion if need be and that's exactly what he would have done.
