when did cotto say he would fight ggg at 155? you just made that up. he just fought geale and ignored ggg's calls. lara and ward would not pay more than monroe. ggg just made 1.5 million to monroes 100k. hbo is not going to offer a much bigger pot for a ggg-lara fight and lara just made a million to fight rodriguez. do the math. same scenario is true for ward-ggg. the pot isn't big enough and unfortunately ward thinks he's the a-side so he won't take a paycut. this is what happens when you overpay fighters. ggg understands he's the b-side against cotto, canelo, froch, and chavez jr and would happily take less money than them but guys like ward don't understand that and sabotage their own careers.
    Ummm.....

So, Lara just got paid 1 mil to fight Rodriguez, and yet you dont think that HBO would pay much more than 1.5mil for Golovkin/Lara?

How can Lara vs TBA justify 1mil, but GGG/Lara only justify 1.5mil ?

This is why I would only ever discuss the business aspect with an insider.

Too much guesswork, and too many variables.

You dont know what Lara would accept. You dont know what Golovkin would be prepared to accept for a name opponent. You dont even know how much is in the pot overall.

    Regarding Cotto.....

Cotto said that he would fight Golovkin down the line..... and last week, Cotto stated that every middleweight opponent will be at catchweight..... so, it is kinda obvious that there would be a catchweight for that fight, and you cant get a worse catchweight than 155.

It is the most likely scenario imo.

IF Cotto beats Canelo, I am sure that he will fight Golovkin, at catchweight, and I doubt that Cotto will be too accomodating..... cant see why you find that hard to believe.

Canelo weighs 155 LOL, he is obviously not a middleweight yet.

If Golovkin continues to hide behind your skirt, he will never develop a resume.

        BTW, I fixed your post.....
        Fight night weight doesn't matter?
        lol what a ret@rd

Floyd was ducked too before he became PPV. He kept moving up and winning until he became P4P #1, and then he got the money fight. Not everyone has refused to fight GGG. He wants a pay day (there is nothing wrong with that), he is doing the samething to guys like Ward, and Lara that is being done to him.

..... regardless as to whether it is true or not.

LOL you absolutely reek of casual-fan.

The total amount of muscle mass and conditioning that you take into a fight will be determined at the weigh-in, you clown..... water-weight, or rehydration weight, is irrelevant, and can in some cases be detrimental.

How long you been following this sport dumbass ?

Casual fans have the dumbest usernames and say the dumbest things.

Sounds like your already facing the harsh reality that Ward's going to have carry Smith the distance.

I dont know what to expect. Wards been out of the ring for awhile. Ring rust affects fighters differently. Smith isnt the total bum some are making him out to be and Ward could/should have put Rodriguez away in his last fight and couldnt do so.
