More like illegally fouling his way to Ws over a collection of the most woeful opposition the HW division has ever seen. Wlad is just a more fundamentally sound version of Wilder. No inside game at all, just throws a long 1 2 and clinches. These limited tactics only can excel if you're fighting in the worst possible era in history and house refs letting you cheat constantly.

Wlad has been boxing for how long, 25 years? Almost losing against a guy that barely stepped in a ring a few years ago lol. Imagine if guys like Jennings and Wilder had a solid amateur foundation, they'd be unbeatable in today's HW division.

I don't think he will try to clinch Fury as much as Pulev, at least until he gets rocked, because he knows close range is where he is hopelessly outmatched. He'll probably try and keep it long and jab Fury. Still even at long range Fury has the longer, quicker jab.
Those telegraphed lead left hooks Wlad throws only work on cement footed bums like Pulev.

sorry i don't think clinching hundreds of times during a fight qualifies as good boxing. fury can actually punch and move, fight inside, dodge punches, and has a varied punch arsenal. wlad has more power but that's it. did you see fury moved around and out boxed chisora twice(a guy wlad ducked) if that was wlad fighting chisora he would have clinched 200 times. without the clinching what is wlad? a very mediocre fighter as we saw before he hooked up with steward who turned him into a clinch machine. his defensive reflexes are almost non existent. zero head movement, can't block or slip punches, and his stamina/ability to sustain moving around the ring was terrible. clinching solves all these problems for him but unfortunately its just not legal.

I would love to seem him try and do that. He'd be swallowing his teeth and out on the canvas inside 6 rounds if he tried those tactics for any extended period of time.
Wlad does have some ring intelligence so I except him to try and make it an outside chess match for as long as he can.

sure in the same way a robot has intelligence. he's programmed to stay out of his opponents punching range and whenever they get into punching range immediately octopus them so they can't get off any punches. yea its a tough program to beat especially when the refs are also programed to ignore the rules but a guy like fury can beat it since he has the right dimensions to beat wlad at his own game. wlad's cpu might crash and his head might explode but that's worth watching.
