I like Sanchez' approach to this. We have a system that we run, if you want to follow it you're welcome here but if you don't want to follow it then we aren't going to change or bend the rules for you.
Chavez Jr could use some of that.

at 240 he would be decent. sometimes a bit of bulk doesn't hurt your ability to absorb punches. I remember at his best Rahman fought around 230-240 & he was cut. after the maskaev & tua losses he stayed around the same until he rematched tua. they had a draw but lennox gave Rahman a title shot because he already beat tua. Rahman was 260 for the tua rematch. He didn't look cut but he wasn't fat either. he flat out said before the fight he wanted to bulk up to absorb his hook better. He threw 80 punches a round that night & was busy for all 12 rounds. Kept his stamina up...

Like watching this guy fight. He's got some fast hands.
Probably going to really start hurting people now too

Eating is a way of life, so hopefully he loses the weight, and then sees how explosive he is at that weight. Then he will be motivated to keep it off, and continue his career in an optimal way.
They've been saying this stuff for years with him already, since he started to get good exposure. He's another Chris Arreola, or Solis, but even worse, and even fatter.
He doesn't even have the skills or knowledge to be much, but he's got hype, exposure and a big media market which puts him in a great position to have a fantastic career, despite his limited abilities. Dare I say that there are better prospects who won't ever get the same hype and there certainly have been better prospects who didn't. He stands to make millions and set himself and his family up for life, yet acts as if he can just stroll in and do whatever. Guys like him disgust me.
He's gonna go through his whole career saying the same bull**** about losing weight and taking it more seriously, but he never will and he'll never amount to anything more than what he is. A guy with too much media exposure behind him when he's not deserving of it, and isn't good enough for it.
Ever since I saw him get stuck in the face over and over by a complete club fighters simple jab, I knew he'd never amount to what people kept saying of him. The lip service we keep hearing from guys like this, particularly in the heavyweight division over the last ten years, is tiring and boring. No one gives a ****. If you're gonna do it, do it, stop talking about it. Just show it by getting your fat ass on the road, pulling out the rope, and eating properly. For supposed 'professional athletes' standing to make millions, they disgust me. It's no wonder the Klit brother ruled the roost so completely for so long. Apart from a small few others, the division is full of lazy, incompetent, rank amateurs.
But hey, if he really does come in and he's lost all his rolls of flab and is actually trim, as a pro boxer should be, I'll eat my words.

His speed comes from arm punching, which is fine, but he'll never be a power puncher hurting guys.
