Charr and Thompson are credible. Whyte is not. 82 ranked fighter on boxrec. Please.

AJ needs some guys that are coming to win like Molina. Blasting out these bums is not doing anything for him..

Ok, MAYBE Wilder has better power, that's a big doubt - one punch power, probably Wilder has the edge...HOWEVER, AJ can be more devastating with his power because he gets up close in a Tyson style in which he destroys you with quick combinations that you don't see, to the body and head. Wilder is a rangy guy who uses his power more from the outside. He leans in and just tries to deliver the big right cross. More of a headhunter I suppose we could say.

Opponents can see it coming, but usually still get KO'd, so yes I'd say Wilder perhaps has that more 'stunning' power, while AJ brings an avalanche that you invariably can't recover from.

I think also AJ is quite a bit physically stronger than Wilder. I feel in a longer fight (as hard as that is to believe, we do get these fights where you are sure someone will get KTFO and it becomes a chess match) AJ would have the edge and could bully someone like Wilder, with his smaller legs.

AJ has the more fluid fundamentals and better repertoire of skills, and definitely more potential for the future than Wilder.

Right now Wilder would be slight favourite with his experience and possible power edge, as well as some physical things like slight height and reach advantages, but AJ is improving fight by fight and soon he will be ready to steamroller a guy like Wilder.

The main question mark is how either guys chin would hold up...both facing almost mirror images of each other - 6ft6/7 guys with 84+ reach and big power...we can only speculate.

He'll need 8 eliminators before getting an actual shot and by then Wilder would have been bit, chewn and spat out by Povetkin.

I think some of the governing bodies will see a cash cow & bump him their own rankings to be honest. At this present moment, with him facing pretty much ****ty opps hes ranked:

            WBC: 2
            WBA 13
            WBO: 7
            IBF: 15

By the end of the year no matter who hes fought. He will be top 10 on all lists. Which to be honest is a joke, but they we go.

Agreed, AJ is going on the fast track. You correctly pointed out his rankings with horrific opponents. I think the boxing world has visions of Joshua-Jennings-Wilder-Parker-Fury title bouts for the next decade and is anxious to shake that money tree ASAP.

I like AJ but still haven't seen his chin or him go a few rounds. But I have little doubt he won't see much of a test until he's facing those top-10 type of guys.

I honestly think this fight will be very interesting. I mean these guys are both capable of ending it with one punch. So both will be very cautious. Should be interesting to see how they approach it..

Bit like Deontay Wilder, prior to Stiverne. Fought absolute cans and somehow became mandatory for the WBC strap.
