Unlikely. He's made a career of fighting cans, it won't change now.

He was stunned by a complete bum in his last fight; he'll avoid any 'live' fighter now. Even Harold Sconiers, who had him down and is semi-retired, is too dangerous an opponent.

Wlad initiated nearly all of those clinches in any case. Here is the video evidence of possibly the most egregious deliberate fouling ever seen in boxing match:

The guy can't fight on the inside to save his life. He was terrified of getting chinned, that's why he desperately clinched. If the rules were actually being enforced he would have been DQ'd before the 3rd round. That's struggling.
I've read a lot of analysis of that fight and most sat while ugly, it wasn't really illegal. When a guy is leading with his head into your stomach, there's really not much a guy of Wlad's size can do. He's reduced to punching Povetkin's back while Sasha is teeing off on his liver? How is that fair? That's how Povetkin fights like a little hunchback driving his head forward. In this case, since Wlad is much taller and longer than he, it just led to silly tactics when he wasn't eating jabs and rights.

A lot of the DQ talk in my estimation was simply that Povetkin was destroyed after a lot of people were building him up. Boring fight to watch as well..

Wlad-Povetin may have been a snoozefest, but you needn't worry about Wilder-Povetkin. That will be action packed. Namely Wilder being brutalised by a 'live' HW.

Nah. Povetkin is too small, arms too short. It might be a good fight but Povetkin will most likely lose a UD..

Do you even follow HW boxing? I'm serious.

I'm beginning to think you know ****e as well. Outline your Povetkin strategy against Wilder. Keep in mind Povetkin is 6-2" with a 75" reach. Wilder is 6-7" with an 83" reach. Ok go..

Wladimir will turn 40 in March of 2016 - beating him after that won't mean as much. Wilder himself said Wlad showed his age against Jennings.

Wilder should try to fight him THIS YEAR or early 2016 at the latest. The longer he waits, the less credit he'll receive if he wins.
