Lara and Rigo calling out GGG, Walters on Twitter. + Verdejo-Loma possible soon?

Walters KO - I don't see Gamboa handling the power of Walters if he couldn't handle Crawford's. He would cause Walters problems and probably be ahead on the cards, but I think he gets stopped. Then again, interesting if Walters' power carries up as well. Gamboa would have a good shot of getting the win also.
Loma Decision - Maybe I am biased but Loma is the younger man and fresher fighter, who is improving fight by fight in the pros. I think we have seen the ceiling of Rigo's ability, and I think Loma JUST edges this one.
GGG KO - Lara would probably fight similar to Monroe, having success boxing GGG, probably winning a lot of the rounds. But eventually GGG will cut the ring off and stop him...
Good fights though, I would like to see any if not all of those very soon.

From what we've heard, Walters doesn't seem too keen on fighting a 'runner' like Rigo, so not sure why Rigo has seemingly gone and called him out. I think he has also called out Loma - that would be a better fight in terms of being more evenly matched in size...Walters will overwhelm him with the amount of weight he adds after rehydrating. Rigo's whiskers are questionable too, so that is a big-risk fight for him...could **** up his career.
I like Loma vs Rigondeaux, I think that is a superfight and a much better fight between two more evenly sized foes.
Walters vs Rigondeaux though is absurd. No shame in saying Rigondeaux losses that fight even he has limits. Walters hydrates to 145+, Rigondeaux eats several meals and barely weighs 120.
I don't think anybody at super feather beats Walters because of his size alone nevermind what really is a Bantamweight.
I'm really not a fan of huge guys killing themselves so they can pick on smaller fighters. Its a tough sport as it is, 5lbs is a lot to these smaller guys, it can be also applied in the higher weights, nevermind 15-20+
That is about 1/6th of their overall bodyweight for Christ sake.Comment

I was actually just having an argument about this a few minutes ago. He was saying Loma fans made the excuse of Salido being to big for Loma, but want Rigo to move up. But this is what I'm talking about, it's Rigo, Rigo fans (I'm a fan but I don't talk crazy), and Rigo's team always challenging guys a weight above him, acting like they are scared of him. Do they expect them to move down for Rigo or what? Rigo doesn't even want to move up, so why talk. Just let him stay in his weight class.
I love that Loma vs Verdejo fight. I was more impressed with Jose Pedraza, imagine Lomachenko vs Pedraza that would be a great chess match up. But bring on Verdejo as well
. 130 is heating up!!!!
Hopefully Loeffler tries to make the Lara fight, so people could stop whining and I would love to see it. But it might be harder to make than people think. GGG will KO Lara!!!!Last edited by HI-TECH Boxing; 06-14-2015, 07:20 PM.Comment

I don't really want to see Lomachenko vs Walters either. I think its more winnable for Lomachenko than it is Rigondeaux as he is naturally a bit bigger but its a risky fight.
Lomachenko had a hard time dealing with Salido's size and strength and Walters is even bigger than Salido and can be just as physical.
He is a pretty big lightweight and a hard hitting one too boot. Its criminal he fought Vic Darchinyan and the likes, he is utterly towering good sized career super featherweights. He has no business at the weight.
Go up and fight Linares, Mitchell, etc
Hell I doubt they even hydrate too as much as this guy.Comment

I think it's probably Rigo's handlers using this as a ploy to make it seem as if Rigo is up for fighting anyone, even moving up, and keeping up this image that he is avoided. Has to keep relevant somehow...I was actually just having an argument about this a few minutes ago. He was saying Loma fans made the excuse of Salido being to big for Loma, but want Rigo to move up. Loma v Verdejo in the pros would be great. That was one of Loma's more high profile and difficult am fights, great matchup of the Cuban v Eastern European boxing schools.
Lara v GGG is a good appetiser for GGG v Canelo/Cotto, depending on how everything plays out.
Agreed on both counts. Maybe Lemieux would be 'better' but if he is tied up with N'dam, might as well give Lara a shot in the meantime...probably GGG's team don't really want it though as it is an awkward style to deal with and would be a difficult fight for GGG to look good in.
Rigo v Loma needs to get made before Rigo gets too old, and before Loma moves up further divisions. Boxing Gods, hear our prayers...I like Loma vs Rigondeaux, I think that is a superfight and a much better fight between two more evenly sized foes.
