I didn't know you were a Ward fan? Oh wait, of course not....you're a Cotto fan pretending to be a Ward fan praying that GGG takes the Ward fight soon and not go after Cotto...."uhhhhhhhhh!" (Pause) "uhhhhhhh!"....sorry BJ, but that Cotto reaction to Kellerman asking him about GGG was priceless....

And for the record, I like Cotto....can't wait to see him & Canelo get it on, it won't be a walk in the park for either ....but it sure will be fun while it lasts...

PS ...In all.seriousness, I was just trolling you on the 'pretending to be a Ward fan" comment....
Lol.... I'm a boxing fan first and foremost!

But yea I didn't expect stevens to do anything. Like for real Johnson was whoopin dat ass before he got clipped in the last round if I remember correctly.

Tapia had a half dozen fights at MW including a win over Heiland just before Golovkin, and Nunez had atleast a few listed per Boxrec. Check your facts before you call them facts. But that's essentially irrelevant anyways. As I pointed out and your kind typically ignore, that was 5 years ago when Golovkin had no tv money and not even a promoter. He was in arbitration from Universum and forced to take stay busy fights in Panama and Kazakhstan. Your desperate.

He offered to move up in weight to 166lbs to fight Edwin Rodriguez and Thomas Oosthuizen who were both undefeated at the time. You want to shit on those guys and go back to accusing him of picking on JMW's. Go ahead and **** on the fact he would've brought those young guys down 2lbs, but remember your guy just brought his older guy down 3lbs while defending the MW title. Andre Ward fought Rodriguez a few years later and recently tried to fight Oosthuzien, but hey you have your ignorant hate agenda to carry out.

And yeah your babbling while you try and twist facts to serve your agenda. So now you want to down play Froch as a tough test because it goes against your agenda of accusing Golovkin for picking on JMW's.
Couldn't have said it any better.

AAHHH so you are OK with GGG bringing down the SMWs huh? Yea I can talk that shit because I haven't defended Cotto on his catchweight BS, but nice try you exposed yourself. Its ok keep being biased.
Learn to use the scroll bar on your computer - Tapia had 7 fights at MW before Golovkin. Ouma beat a WBA ranked MW and became a WBA ranked MW just before Golovkin. Considering he went the distance vs Taylor, what's wrong with that fight back then? But who cares? You accuse me of nitpicking, but your making up what you call facts and picking out fights that weren't ment to be anything other than stay busy fights because he had no money behind him at the time. Your behaving desperate Javi, it's not pretty.

And I don't have a problem with Golovkin asking Edwin Rodriguez to fight at 166lbs. Rodriguez had two fights that year prior to the Golovkin offer: Don George and Jason Escalera. Both on HBO and both at 166lbs. 2012 was Oosthuizen's first year at SMW, before that he had been fighting at 160lbs. Choke on it.

No sir....INCORRECT....GGG called out MARTINEZ after beating Stevens because Martinez was the lineal 160lb champ at the time...further supporting his team's statements that their goal is to unify at 160

So as long so a guy gets good attendance and tv ratings you will excuse him fighting subpar opponents? Got it.

How do you see that?? i mean GGG last fight was aganst a Bum and it sold. A fight with Ward would outsell any fight that GGG has had thus far by a big margin easy..
I will reply to both of you fools at the same time.

Where is Ward fighting his next fight on? HBO? NO. They had to buy their own time on BET because both HBO and Showtime rejected Ward's proposals to show his tune up fights. There is a big difference in giving the OK to fight Monroe at 350K and fighting Ward for what would probably be well over 5 million for his purse alone. It's not going to happen. Ward wanted 2 million each for three tune ups. What do you think he would ask to fight GGG? There is no audience for Ward and he wants too much money. A Ward - GGG fight is only viable as a PPV and at this point in time, even the townies in Oakland wouldn't pay to see it. When Ward has made his name again, then he will be a viable option. Until then he is nothing but a name from the past living on past glories.

Not to mention that Ward has stated that he will need at least two, maybe three, tune up fights before taking on a major opponent. For some reason, his fans always ignore this as if Ward would jump up and down if a GGG fight was offered.

Get it through your heads... Ward is no longer a major factor in boxing. He needs to fight at least two solid contenders and get significant victories over them before he becomes relevant again. And a 12 round, points decision is not a significant victory. If he does not knock out Smith in under 5 rounds, Ward should just retire and walk away.

Last time I checked Ward is fighting on BET not HBO.
Guess why it would sell, because of GGG not Ward. Ward needs Golovkin not the other way around. Ward struggles to sell out in his hometown. He thinks he's the A-side. The reason it doesn't make financial sense is because Ward is going to want big money, when he's not even a draw. Maybe he'll take a pay-cut in order to make the fight, but that is highly doubtful. He got almost 2 million against Rodriguez, just imagine how much he'll want for a big fight. Whether people like it or not GGG has bigger fights at 160. Ward's going to be the one that struggles for a big fight. DeGale also has bigger fights, he doesn't need Ward.

                Stay butthurt

                  • No matter what anyone says in over 20 pages of posts, the fact remains everything Andre says is true. He oozes class and humility when he talks, can the same be said for the likes of GGG and Froch, let those guys select to fight who they like, yet if the aspire to be the best hey they have to beat Andre, it is that simple.

Andre Ward was p4p no.2 before his period of inactivity and when he gets back in the ring at world level, he will be elevated to that position again. Having watched Froch in his fights versus Groves and Froch, I am certain he has regressed and Ward would undoubtedly stop him. As for GGG, would he take a single round against a truly elite level fighter his own size ? The fight against Monroe I had him losing round upon rounds, cold hard truth be GGG may very well have reached his ceiling, hence why he is targeting JMW's.

                    • It's really sad to see Ward like this. This guy beat a lot of good fighters and was the P4P #2 fighter in the world. Now the casuals all see Froch as the 168 king and don't even know who Ward is.

Does he really have to wonder why GGG would fight Froch or Chavez Jr. instead of him?
