  • The only reason some want to see this fight is they think Ward will beat GGG and might even make it look easy so then they could say "See he a bum,he got exposed", when in reality all he would be doing is beating a smaller fighter. When is Ward gonna finally move up, he either drains 175lbers like Dawson, or stays i his division to fight who exactly? Then hyping fighter like Chavez saying hes good, to justify why he wants to fight him.

I doubt the money will ever be right for them to put GGG in with Ward for it be worth the added risk. Dont be ****** and suggest that Roc Nation just give away millions money to GGG to make the fight. GGG's people are willing to put Froch vs GGG on regular HBO and bend over backwards to do whatever possible to make fights with Canelo, Cotto, Froch, Chavez Jr, and Mayweather. When it comes to Ward though there are all these hurdles in the way.
Now you're just interjecting your own opinion over facts. You know the money in Ward/Golovkin is not even comparable to those other fights and hiding behind your assumption that Golovkin would still turn down Ward when it becomes a big money fight. You have nothing to support that assumption at this point. You could if RN were to front the money and make offer, but as Ward's promoter pointed out their willing to wait.

Just like people say Miguel Cotto choked when Kellerman brought up GGG...well GGG does the same when Ward name is brought up.

The proven guy shouldn't have the chase the unproven guy who wants to fight smaller guys or bigger guys he knows he can beat. *** the Money, beating what is considered one of the best P4P fighters today would get you all the fame and money you need after you beat him right?

Fans are talking tough but the Fighters and their Team are smarter than the fans. They know all about Ward and they know that not only is that a difficult fight, it is a strong possibility that they could lose that fight.

But I don't blame GGG for any of this he seems like a very classy guy and yes he is a excellent boxer, but it is his team and his overzealous arrogant fans who are running their mouths. Careful what you ask for! When you get it I don't want to hear excuses about styles and all this stuff. If your fighter is truly that "GREAT"...HE SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEFEAT ANY STYLES!

Yes, let's get it on as long as Ward's opponent is not a threat in any way, shape, or form.
Its a tune up fight. I dont see nothing wrong with the selection especially since he's been out the ring this long.

Question.... Whos the next 154 lbr GGG will bring up to fight and defend his title?

He already has a pretty good list of former super welterweights who had either no fights at middleweight or maybe 1 or 2 fights at middlweight
Ishida, Rosado, Ouma, Tapia & Nunez all campaigned at super welterweight most of their fights before fighting GGG.

So on one hand, you have a guy fighting bums in hopes of getting a lottery ticket against Canelo and Cotto. Turning their nose up at every damn challenger that doesn't headline ppvs.

On the other hand, you have a guy that hasn't fought in 2 years and threw a temper tantrum because he couldn't get the Chavez Jr fight.

I like both fighters but **** them both until they are in a fight that intrigues me. But as usual fanboys will take sides, and we'll have 25 pages of flaming and "Ward is boring doe" and "GGG is a hype job doe".
Thread should've ended here. You can't jump on one bandwagon and completely ignore the other sides faults.

All boxers do. GGG is no exception. And it is not GGG nor his team who say he is the most feared in boxing. Not that I've heard anyway. I would say that Rigo is the most avoided.

NO...GGG fans started this. All this talk about how GGG would destroy Ward Blah Blah Blah but when Ward come answering back and start issuing challenges of his own. Fans start to back off and complain about how "Ward Should Move Up And Fight Kovalev". While Ward was trying to get out of a awful promotion situation, it was some people running their mouths off. Now that Ward is Back, all those fans and GGG team just make all type of excuse on way they shouldn't make Ward vs GGG

I've never heard GGG call out anyone who was not a middleweight. All I have heard him do is refer to Ward in response to questions being asked by interviewers. If anyone has video of GGG being the one to bring up Ward's name, I would be very interested in seeing it. In most every case, GGG has to be poked and prodded to talk about Ward which in turn is taken by GGG haters to indicate that he is 'afraid' of Ward.

Ward is not in Golovkin's plans. He has NEVER been in Golovkin's plans because GGG's only real goal is to unify all the titles at MW. But that is not good enough for some people who claim that he has to move up to fight Ward. I guess these people need something to give their hero, Ward, some relevance in the boxing world because he has done nothing on his own in the past few years to stay relevant in the sport.

Pretty sad that the guy his fans proclaim to be one of the top fighters in the world needs a fighter in a lower weight class, a fighter that Ward's fans claim is over rated, a fighter that they claim has no resume worth speaking of, to give Ward relevance and meaning in the sport. That really doesn't say much for Ward or his fans, does it?

He's the one that needs to move up. 168 is a bummy division and light heavy is heating up.
Maybe Ward wants the undisputed titles at 168. Nothing wrong with that.
