Ward has been calling ggg out! In early 2014 "HBO is trying to force feed us ggg" Cut that out. It was an invitation if team ggg felt some type of way they could have came back and said, "Lets negotiate, come up with a deal." etc yet they said nothing. Lara calls ggg out! Now people think Lara is just saying that.... Yes -- Ward is apparently right with his syllogisms... But, but, actually he took this John Smith at 172 as a comeback fight...
... Remember just who Floyd fought first just after his long layoff?
... I would have expected Ward to call Golovkin at 168 for his comeback fight -- and, then, everybody would have had been extremely satisfied, quietened, and/or silenced...
We know what it is! ggg's team doesn't think they can win. If they did they would jump on it in a heart beat. If Quillen, and Jacobs or Floyd, etc... (WHO ALL FIGHT WITH Haymon) called ggg out Sanchez and Loeffler would respond on this site within a few hours. Let Ward and Lara bash him them dudes turn quiet.Comment

Not really. Monroe made very little but others made just a little less than GGG. Off the top of my head GGG made 600k for a couple of fights and the opponent made 450k. I wonder how much Smith is getting for this Ward fight? I hope he is getting paid well for a long fruitless trip.
Also, I don't think K2 has the money as such. It is HBO that opens the purse strings so you can question why they are not doing that for Ward. Well we know really don't we? ... as good as he is, his fighting style is not al all appreciated by casuals. As Popescu already pointed out, he is the only top PPV fighter to have 2 points deducted for clinching.
So, if HBO isn't prepared to stump up huge $ to make it worthwhile for both Ward and GGG as in 3/4 million each, then it would be nice to see ROC Nation help out - otherwise what was the point signing with them?Comment

Ward and Lara both want to fight ggg next! Get some fans huh? How many fans does Monroe and Murray have? Have they ever been mentioned in the top 5 in their class? Lara has been in the headlines, fought top competition same with Ward. THEY ARE BOTH MORE KNOWN AND HAVE MORE FANS THAN ANYBODY GGG HAS FOUGHT. So that's your excuse huh? LMAOSo this fool hasnt fought in almost 2 years and has an upcoming fight against a no hoper at Light Heavyweight and openly issued he needs at least two tuneups to face GGG and now tries to badmouthes Gennady for wanting to unify his titles? For becoming undisputed and lineal MW champion? No one cares about Ward anymore, i wonder how many tickets were given away for free for his next fight, even HBO doesn't wanna show this crap fight.
Get down to 168 and get some fans, dont bore the audience to death and tell us when you're ready to fight, otherwise shut your mouth and keep fighting Abraham's leftovers on irrelevant networks.Comment

Yep, you nailed it in a very concise manner. As fans we want boxers to jump up all the time but once you get past welterweight, and as long as boxers don't hit a roadblock in their own division, the majority don't move up as they lose a % of their power and yet are fighting against stronger opponents. Only the supremely gifted fighters move up with impunity. As much as I like GGG, as much as I give him maximum kudos for entertainment value, he has yet to prove himself to be supremely gifted in my eyes. Very gifted yes, supremely gifted the jury is still out.
I would suggest that Ward is extremely gifted so if he isn't going to move up to LHW immediately I would certainly hope that come the end of his career he will be able to look back and say he fought the best at LHW.Comment
