It's not a question of fans it's the risk/reward ratio. Very little money in fighting Lara but admittedly higher risk. But nothing much to gain for GGG if he wins. He is no closer to winning a middleweight belt as Lara is not even in the division. If Quillen or Jacobs would call out GGG his team would be on it on a flash as beating them would further build up GGG's reputation in the middleweight div. Fighting Mayweather is a no-brainer, its just about money. Ward brings huge upside in reputation but is very high risk and the money is so-so.

Isn't ward doing the exact same thing with GGG?, instead of getting ****d by the krusher? give me a straight answer.

Yes, let's get it on as long as Ward's opponent is not a threat in any way, shape, or form.
Truer words couldn't be spoken! Don't forget Ward will also only fight if the fight is in his hometown of ****land where the judges and ref are scared to call a fight against headbutter hugger runner Ward! Ward you stopped being relevant years ago, can't draw flies to sh it and couldn't fill a closet with fans so do us all a favor and stay retired!

How many world champs did Ward fight before the super 6? Henry Buchanon. Cotto should fight GGG, to unify the division. But he wont.
Ward was fortunate the super 6 tourney was created. Most fighters have to keep plodding through before they get a title shot, GGG is current MW champ. He isnt doing anything wrong to complain about. Ward should be concerned about champs at his weight or I guess light heavy now that he is fighting closer to that weight. Kovalev? Stevenson? Fonafara? A fonfara fight would make more sense than Smith. You just cannot ride of the super 6 win forever. Look where it got him, on BET. Meanwhile GGG is headlining cards, filling venues on HBO. At the end of the day its 2 different weight classes. Ward feels he is the A+ name even if the fight was in negotiations I doubt it would get done due to the demands.

Where does it say Golovkin is killing himself to make 160?

So...the "most feared man in boxing" is playing the risk/reward card? Gotcha.

So much wrong here. Fact is, Ward has proven himself. I have no issue with him taking a soft touch after such a long layoff. What's Gennady's excuse? What bum is he going to trot out next?
