Lara vs Floyd Needs to Happen!

Not as competitive as people like to imagine, Lara paws with his jab a lot, isn't able to operate from close and he doesn't variate his attack. On top of that, Mayweather only moves up for big fights.

That said, don't care for it but wouldn't mind if it did happen. This "Lara-Mayweather needs to happen" is laughable, needs why?

Lets put it this way, Vanes found a way to make Lara so iffy. Alright Vanes is pretty good at spoiling. Molina was able to spoil Lara also.

Even if you think he won those fights it shows Lara's game can be spoiled. It is not like he was super effective against a decent boxer in Canelo.

I mean none of that screams this guy will do big things against a much superior boxer than all those guys at taking things away. He may make Floyd look not so good, but there is a difference between making somebody look iffy and actually winning.

Lara is the only guy available that has the boxing IQ to give Floyd problems. Lara has the REACH (Lara will actually have the reach advantage vs Floyd), the speed, and the incredible technical skills to match Floyd. He has the timing, he's hard to hit, he's a great counter-puncher, and he's a great athlete... He's everything that Floyd is but a southpaw. Khan is a joke of an opponent at this point, and Thurman won't be able to outbox Floyd... If Floyd could avoid Manny's power, he'll avoid Thurman's... Most importantly, Floyd has a bigger reach and speed advantage vs Thurman.... Floyd might only slightly edge out Lara in speed. It will be a close chess match.. Lara is a real 154lb as well, Floyd won't be able to impose his physicality on Lara.

Floyd won't fight Lara , Lara would make a fool of him this isn't some slow Plodder or some little wash up Asian

Floyd is not a fighter on the come up trying to prove himself, no need to fight Lara. Beating him does zero for his career, legacy and bank account. There are other fighters right now who are unproven at the top level who would benefit from beating Lara.

Who cares what non-fans think... Any fans HERE should be all about this fight... And Lara IS that good...

When I say non-fans, I'm not referring to casuals. I'm talking boxing fans who don't like Floyd. I'll welcome the fight but I don't want to hear a single word about it being boring after the fact.

And yes, Lara isn't that good. Not as good as the hype he gets anyway.

It's a "fantasy" in which Lara has a real chance to outpoint Floyd... While Khan/Thurman are fantasy matchups ala Harry Potter, where fans think either fighter will be able to magically beat Floyd.

People need to resign themselves to the fact no one is going to relentlessly land clean on Mayweather or score some freak KO... It's the skilled fighter like Lara that knows how to score and keep a fight even, knows how to keep up on points, that has a chance

It's still a fantasy fight because it will never happen. Nobody wants the fight except the hardcore fans posting here and Lara.

But let me ask you this... Who else has a chance to beat Floyd... Why pay for a Khan fight or a Thurman fight, knowing neither one has a good chance of beating Floyd... OK, I get it, Floyd/Lara is a "boring" fight but don't you want to see Floyd fight a guy that actually has a good chance of beating him? Do you think Floyd is EVER going to get knocked out... give me a break... It's all about POINTS... and Lara brings the boxing IQ to match even the great Floyd Mayweather... It's a no brainer really... Maybe it's not the most "exciting" opponent for Floyd... But he doesn't need any more money... But if he takes the Lara fight he gains RESPECT (more respect than if he fought Khan or Thurman)

I swore to never watch him after the last track meet he was in, I caved in but wasnt entertained at all.

Floyd been boring lately to but atleast he at his what 5th division. Lara fighting guys in his orginal weight class. Only fight I want to see is him and GGG. Think Lara has a skillset to make it interesting and can lean on his running skills if he gets hurt
