It would be a technicians fight but a clinic is the most wrong description of a matchup between these two.
A clinic of picking apart a one dimensional fighter with a lazy jab, an inability to throw more than a 3 punch combination, no body attack and one who can't transition from defense to offense. Floyd has beaten fighters with more power and more speed than Lara already. That's irrelevant.

Again, I understand what people are thinking, but Lara isn't the fighter we want him to be. Look deeper than just physical attributes and "slick southpaw style".

Quite the change of tune Mustafa... you were adamant Lara would beat him not too long ago, I agree with your assessment btw.

        ... ... Good post! Green K sent...

(... it would be a "chess" fight -- with 5-7 punches landing per round...)

I admit that. But I hadn't really analyzed Lara like that before.

Lara isn't active enough when he's fighting top fighters, especially with the jab, he usually just paws with it to set up his left.

Thank you. That is exactly what would happen. Described appropriately, no punches landed and both participants winning every round. You know I think we should stop calling these two people "fighters" and call them "participants". A fighter lands punches to hurt and stop his opponent while avoiding shots. He closes the show and goes for the win. These two people should participate in a point sparring Tae Kwon Do Tournaments.

Cotto vs Rodriguez; NSB reaction -- "Cotto is a washed up cherry picking bum"

Lara vs Rodriguez; NSB reaction -- "Lara is the only man available to challenge May"

Mayweather vs Lara - a total of 10 pitty pat punches will land every fight, and I fully expect Mayweather to walk him down while Lara dances around sprinting from corner to corner. 120-108

Lara is sht. The only one that can beat Mayweather is Pacquiao with healthy rotator cuffs.

Maybe Cotto. Think he can only win by KO though.

People always overrate the technical skills of boring, sissy fighters, Lara has no where near the technical skill of Pacquiao, he's one-handed, no where near the counter-puncher, he's left isn't as sneaky, nothin, he lost to ***in Canelo and you're telling me he is as technically skilled as Mayweather?

Cotto at 160 would have a better shot than Pacquiao. I've never understood the belief that Pacquiao was Floyd's kryptonite.

Needs to happen for who? Floyd gains absolutely nothing from a W over lara. To casuals hes a nobody who lost to canelo who floyd schooled (even tho i thought lara won the fight)
