Kovalev would bodybag Ward. Would love to see that fight though.

        2. He is able to move back quickly out of range and throw a punch at the same time when his opponent comes forward to tie him up which he showed against Hopkins.

However, it's possible Ward is just an expert clincher, and would be stronger at 175 in order to tie him up. I'm skeptical though, I think Kovalev beats him.
Great points, Kovalev is a master at standing outside the range.

But I remember Kovalev was avoiding Hopkins' head butts very well.
If any of this is true and Ward takes the fight, why bring up all the negativity? I would think boxing fans should be happy that he is taking risk unlike other P4P fighters.

This is a Chad Dawson-esque, permanently-sitting-on-the-bench type of fight for Andre Ward. He is already inactive for years while still a WINNER and P4P one of the best. If Kovalev ices him, he is done for good.

The long lay-offs aren't gonna get any better.

This would be an awesome fight. I think I'd still pick Ward though, depending on how he does on his upcoming comeback fight.

I'm with you. Super Six Ward beats Kov imo. I just have to see him fight again before I render a prediction at this point though.

                      Awesome fight, hope it happens.
You have to beat Ward in the negotiation table first, you can't let this guy have it his way (the opposite of Burg*r K*ng). The good thing for most fighters around his weight class is that they're the A side against Ward. Make the fight no where close to Oakland and have a competent referee that will actually know when Ward is the one initiating the clinches lol and prevents his dirty tactics. A poster already mentioned how Ward's opposition always gets the blame, when it's Ward that always starts the clinching. You would think that referee's know by now the dirty tactics Ward uses. If they forgot, since Ward hasn't fought in forever simply warn their ass*es.

Ward's going to be like, "Yo I'm the A-side, you're fighting on HBO but I'm making History by being the first fighter show-cased on BET."

Kovalev will knock him out. If he thought Miranda hit hard, wait til he feels the Krusher's power .
