Man I Hope So!!! Kovalev Will Knock Ward Cold!

Ward doesn't have the ballz to take this fight, nor does he want to fight GGG. Ward is a headcase, poorly managed, wasting valuable time on his career. He'll be an aftermath if somehow he gets tricked into fighting Kovalev. Ward is a diva not worth Boxing's time.

So Ward is supposed to wait on GGG??? GGG's team cries about big fights but would rather step up and fight Chavez Jr or Froch, but no Ward! Kovalev I have great respect for! Ward would jump in his chest - Kovalev has NO inside game and he knows it, but Kovalev is a dam underrated athlete and it doesn't take much for him generate power in his punches(scary)! I have spoken to someone that has sparred both and he say Kovalev hit him the hardest he has ever been hit, with 14oz gloves and head gear, he said Kovalev has zero inside game and knows it, but how he moves its hard to get inside, he said Kovalev is very athletic ! he said what impresses him with Wad is his ring IQ and versatility, he can fight anybody's fight . He said ward can punch, but his main strength is getting inside position and going to work, going to the body - he sparred Kesseler before he fought Ward and said Kesseler's team didn't have a clue, they thought they where just going to go in there and blast Ward out! He said since he's been in with both its a 50 / 50 fight between Ward and the Krusher, he would lean a little bit toward Ward due to his comp level, gold medal, etc.. but its truly a 50 / 50 fight

Of course it will. Andre Ward is a warrior, he isn't afraid of moving up a weight class to fight the best.

That coward Gennady Golovkin should take notes. Ward is a man, Golovkin is a coward.

People forget what happened in Ward vs Kessler, Ward had to clinch to nullify Kessler, with Kovalev he won't be able to do that, Kovalev is too strong for Ward but I'll be surprised if Ward finds a way of doing that against Kovalev, Ward will win.

Agreed on Sergei's athleticism. Overall, he's just a sharp sharp fighter. His power and ability to box from range would be quite an obstacle for Ward to overcome, but if anybody can do it, it's Andre.

Gennady is an afterthought. Both Kovalev and Ward have taken on top level competitors, while Golovkin is still choosing to fight tomato cans and c level opposition.

              Golovkin is terrified of Ward

Golovkin fans do you see this? ward is moving up to be great but yet Golovkin wants to fight welterweights because he's a coward.

Golovkin will never fight Ward because Ward will expose with lateral movement, great defense and he won't get hit with the same bullshyat punch twice.

Ward will smother Golovkin power and fight on the inside (can Triple G even fight on the inside?)

Golovkin will never fight Ward because he wants the size advantage as well as power advantage over his opponent.

Kovalev would end Ward's career. Risky fight for him...

One question is whether there's enough money on regular HBO for Kovalev/Ward. Will Ward be satisfied just taking his minimum $2mill? Will Kovalev the champion be satisfied taking just around a $1mill?

Like Ward/Golovkin, we may see another situation where these guys want to wait til it's worth more money. If they both believe this fight is worth more at the end of 2016 or in 2017, they'll probably wait.

didn't kovalev and pascal split about $6m? i'm not sure what was provided by hbo and what came from ticket sales or whatever, but i'm pretty sure kovalev ended up with ~$3.5m and pascal with ~$2.5m. for $3m apiece, i'm sure the ward fight can be made

Except in this case it's Kovalev's promoter calling out Ward, not Ward calling out Kovalev.

We'll see what Ward says when it comes time to negotiate. Until then, check your hate at the door.
