Is Postol any good?

yes. he's come into his own in the past few fights. he'd be a rough go for garcia's style.

i'd probably favor postol on points if al haymon couldn't work any magic.

I still remember Postol getting shook a couple times by Aydin reason I know is bcse those were the only 3 punches he threw the whole fight.

His reach will be his best friend in this fight

Garcia hasn't been the same since the Matthysse fight and knows that he would be beat up if they had a rematch.

Some say that he got a gift against Herrera AND Peterson

I'm not convinced that he is/was the best at 140 and if Crawford was available he would beat Garcia

He's literally like a slow version of Amir Khan, uses his range and fights on the outside. Little inside game, his height abd reach are his only chance but Matthysse struggled with Molina's reach so it could be tricky.

Timing of the bout doesn't make sense though, especially if the August date still holds; Paulie just picked up that nasty cut in May (while also doing surgery on his elbow) and has a shot lined up for the EBU title (in a fairly easier fight).

Paulie could have the EBU fight end of August/early September and then still make the Danny Garcia fight for December.
