Must have missed that one...I watched the main event but didn't keep track that Postol was on there. In any case, it will be a big step up back to high level opposition with Lucas...I don't know, I feel Postol can win with the right gameplan but will be interesting to see how he deals with Lucas' power.

You make it sound like it was an easy fight for Garcia. He was deaf in one ear for two weeks and pissing blood.

What exactly is the emeritus champion? Does he get first crack at the winner if he returns? And will the belt holder have a real world title or just a regular title?

So who did? Postol fought in April btw.

            WBC rankings:

            #1 Postol
            #2 Matthysse
            #3 Broner
            #4 Iman
            #5 Provodnikov

To be honest, when a fighter takes step-aside money he should lose at least one ranking but in this case that would still have him fighting Matthysse.

It's doubtful Broner would've have fought Matthysse and vice-versa. Broner took the fight with Porter before waiting to see what Garcia would do to push his case.

I doubt Don King wants Iman in with Matthysse either, and Provodnikov just lost to him.

Looking at the rankings Mauricio Herrera probably deserves the title shot the most, he is fighting Hank Lundy.

The point I was making is that a lot of WWs will come in at those heavy weights like Peterson, and Garcia appeared to have issues with Peterson's size.

Personally I had Garcia winning clear, but there were tough moments in the second half of that bout and he really had to tough it out.

Maybe Garcia will gain some strength and size of his own at 147, I hope so, he is a good fighter, it would be a shame to see him not be able to make 140 and be too small for 147.

I still don't understand why he didn't fight Broner, both of those guys are catchweight (144) material.

Maybe Dan Rafael has jumped the gun with his announcement of confirmation of Garcia v Malignaggi?

You can't point to a single article anywhere where they've said that the opponent will be Paulie Malignaggi.

If you've seen that anywhere, I'd like to know.
Rafael confirmed it, he usually doesn't do that unless the info is solid.

Belt holder will be the real world champion. Vitali Klitschko is champion Emiritus for Deontay Wilder's belt but Wilder, like Stiverne before him, is the champion.

Is the WBC Undisputed Super Championship yet another strap that the WBC has pulled out of their a$$? How ridiculous and will it ever end?

What? This is bad case of revisionist history going on here, and why? Because "El grito de Lares" occurred 30 years before the Spanish American War and since it was an uprising against Spanish rule it had absolutely nothing to do with the United States military in anyway what so ever.

Nice of Danny to donate his belt to Matty. Matty could use that "champion" feeling again before he retires.

Danny is a hell of a guy.

Haymon would want Broner vs Garcia to be a huge mega fight and atm its not. Both guys are getting clowned and haven't looked good lately.
