.... Showtime collected a massive payday for the Canelo fight, while also collecting another massive payday for the Pacquiao fight.

They were on the hook for $250m to Mayweather, and they basically covered that amount after the first four fights and a quarter of the take on the Pacquiao fight. Showtime is solidly in the black on the deal, in all likelihood.

Book Floyd versus any 147 fighter for the last fight, and Showtime likely generates $100m beyond the guarantee

If you are saying he is unable, then than means his offensive abilities are limited.
Floyd Mayweather isn't in the sport of boxing to take any unnecessary punishment; hate if you want, he's heading into retirement with an outright fortune in the bank, his family secure, and his only ailments being busted hands.

To lament the fact that Floyd doesn't let his opponent hit him clean in the face is silly.

IKR. They ran out of boogeymen so now their only hope is PPV buys and him going broke after retirement.

I doubt they'll lose that much. They'll keep the promotion budget modest and expect a modest buy rate. Floyd is set for 100 lifetimes. He just pulled down north of $400mm in the last couple years. I think he just wants to get this one out of the way so he can call it a day. Go do something else for a bit. He'll get just enough buys of people hoping he loses his last fight..
