That really is'nt saying much. I think Lara is a damn good fighter, but he has never shown the willingness to let it hang out, in the clutch, in a tough and close fight. Until he does he will continue to be in fights that are tough to score and he will end up on the short end of the stick sometimes.Comment

So what? That just makes anyone who wanted it and then discredited look like a**holes. Who cares about them?
Most people would think, "Wow, he brutalized the guy Alvarez arguably didn't even beat. Why doesn't Canelo fight him?" Like PBP said earlier in this thread.Comment

Lara is willing to fight ANYBODY from 154-160 and is willing to PROVE it...can't knock him at all....WAR LARA!!
GGG CLAIMED he was willing to fight ANYBODY from 154-168....but when Ward's name comes up it's not enough bread in the basket
Lara calls out Floyd and he's EVERYBODY's sweetheart....he calls out GGG and he's EVERYBODY's villain
GGG supporters will accept the Monroe's and Adama's of the sport as a opponent and justify those choices by saying NOBODY want to fight him...but there's a PROVEN SOLID slickster named Lara who's been calling GGG out for quite some time now but is being ignored for whatever reason
can somebody with a GGG uniform on help me understand this sh't because it's quite confusing!!...Lara vs GGG can happen....it's the biggest name AVAILABLE atm for GGG...correct me if I'm wrong
actually, its NOT confusing to anyone with higher than a 4th grade education. But you obviously dont like GGG. We get that. Its a free country. You can dislike anyone you choose. Just dont act like somehow FACTS or LOGIC will sway your opinion, because they wont.
But just for giggles, its raining and is a slow day at the store so I will try and address your points:
1. You claim Lara is willing to fight anyone. Great. Who (besides you and maybe 10 other people) even cares? His fights are about as exciting as a 2nd coat of paint. He's not ranked at 160, holds no titles at 160, and is not a mando at 160. Other than satisfying 10 internet trolls (who 10 minutes after the fight wil be here complaining that GGG is picking on jr middleweights), what purpose does a Lara fight serve?
2. GGG will fight anyone from 154-168. True. His team has said MANY MANY times that their main focus is to unify 160, but they would go down to 154 or up to 168 for BIG fights. 154 for Floyd or Pac, 168 for Chavez or Froch. Up until today, the only statement on record from Lara (not his manager) was a video of him saying he was 154, and was staying at 154. So he wasnt in the discussion, because GGG aint going to 154 to fight Lara. Now Laras team says 160, so we'll see. There are promotional obstacles to overcome (Haymon/HBO), and who knows if HBO would even buy Lara, but at least its something that can NOW be discussed.
3. Lara calls out Floyd-GGG, etc: Again, nobody cares. Lara is horrible to watch, and cant sell out the first 3 rows of a school bus. He talked himself into the Canelo fight, and then stunk out the place. Im not sure people fall for his act again. But if there is no better option for GGG Sept fight, then maybe he gets it.
4. GGG supporters accept Monroe. etc: We dont have a choice. The Cottos, Frochs, etc dont seem to want to fight him. And just because 10 people rate Lara higher than Monroe or Murray, that doesnt make it a sellable fight to the promoters, or the network, and theirs is the only opinion that matters.
5. GGG-Lara can happen: We dont know this. None if us here know the TRUE status of the HBO-Haymon relationship. Would HBO put a Haymon fighter on? Would Haymon allow Lara to fight off-PBC? Would Lara actualy take the fight at 160 or is todays press release just Decubas talking out his a**? These are questions we dont know the answers to yet.
For the record, I think its a garbage fight, and Golovkin ghouls Lara inside 6 rounds, but it would forever shut up the "but but Lara doe" idiots, so im fine with the fight.Last edited by OnePunch; 06-10-2015, 12:22 PM.Comment

fans don't expect much from GGG....the opponent expectation standard is quite low with dude....anybody who complains about him beating Lara is just hating....I would give him his props even though I would favor him...it's just a good name to add to the graveyard that's allSo what? That just makes anyone who wanted it and then discredited look like a**holes. Who cares about them?
