Give it up Canelo. Just wait a little longer and you can have all the Mexican pride dates you want lol. Put it this way, regardless who floyd fights, September is his last fight so it's dumb to compete ppv with him. If for some chance he doesn't retire the Cinco de mayo date will be his 50th fight so once again Canelo is not going to compete for it. Even if cotto vs Canelo is made for September 12 (which I'm 99% sure it won't), floyd vs anyone will still pull a million ppvs at least prob and severely impact Canelos ppv $$. It's not worth it.

Just wait another 6 mos - year Canelo and the May and sept Mexican dates are all yours ok? Why risk a ton of $$ over it.

I don't think any fight Floyd can put on will top a Canelo Vs Cotto fight, not unless its a rematch with Pacquiao which the Pacman ain't ready yet for.

That is the biggest fight right now out there. Maybe Wladamir/Wilder, Floyd/GGG (that is not happening), not even Steveson/Kov will top it

Cotto-Canelo will be the biggest fight for the remainder of this year.

If they get it sorted and go PPV on the same day as Mayweather, I think they win the numbers battle.

It's not the smartest decision to battle with PPV's as it loses viewers on both sides, but you can't really blame a Mexican fighter wanting to fight on the Mexican dates.

Canelo should have acted this tough when he fought Floyd, then he may have won the fight, eliminating the need for all the BS from him and his team over dates.

Then go to Mexico and fight. Don't you find it interesting that the says the dates mean so much to him yet he doesn't fight in the country on those dates?

If I told you I was pro USA but wanted to fight on July 4th in Canada, what would you think?
