Sure, Wilder has a height and reach advantage... but he doesn't weigh more than Povetkin. So there is no way he'll be able to shove povetkin around like Wlad did.

It's gonna be a great fight, super exciting because I know after Povetkin fought Wlad (he learned a thing or two with fighting taller opponents)

If Wilder fights carefully, fights lengthy and circles him... he might win decision. But come on... this is Wilder we're talking about, he fights like an animal. Not nearly as technical as Wlad.

The real question is, can Wider handle Povetkin's hooks? Does he have the chin? Because I definitely know Povetkin has an iron chin.
But Wilder did fine staying to the outside of a 248-pounder Stiverne. Povetkin is about 230. And Stiverne outreaches Povetkin by 5". And I disagree that Wilder "fights like an animal". He landed twice as many punches as Stiverne (on a better %) in that fight including half of his power punches. He's far more technical than people give him credit for. When he smells blood he can get a little wild but that's when his opponent is so destroyed they can't really do much about it. And I LMAO when people talk about Povetkin's "iron chin" when Vlad was putting him on the floor with jabs and Marco Huck is beating him senseless.

Povetkin's three opponents after Wlad have been shorter, squatter, and stubby-armed like Povetkin. I'll believe he can be effective against a long, reach fighter when I see it..

There is no way you can compare stiverne and povetkin. Povetkin is a much better fighter.

I'm not doubting Wilder, but even he knows Povetkin is one of the best heavyweights around. Accusing him for steroids is often the first step to ducking lol

I'm a fan of Wilder, but I just don't think he'll finish povetkin

How is Povetkin a "much better fighter". Because he trained with Atlas? Povetkin is a good fighter but he's nothing special. He's not a big puncher, and doesn't do anything in boxing especially well. He's not especially fast or light on his feet. He's a grinder who wins fights against guys his size but firing off three-punch combos and landing the first and third. Against tall, long fighters he gets destroyed.

Povetkin came into the pro ranks with a lot of fanfare but hasn't improved at all since 2008.

Now what a ****ing delsional moron!

                Instaban necessary for this idiot!

Povetkin has been WASTING dudes much heftier and stronger than Wilder with some of the hardest chins in the business.

Meanwhile, Wilder failed to KO a hard chin that was suffering from a severe disease and could not fight back OR defend himself over 12 ****ing rounds!

Povetkin has power proven at the highest level.

Wilder is now proven NOT to possess elite power!

Povetkin has only ever lost one single fight to Wladimir in which he survived and Wladimir had to tie him up all fight to keep him off. How does that translate to "every tall fighter destroys him?"

You have exposed yourself as a tool!

Well its obvious Wilder has lost/sold his spine somewhere along the line. Wilder isn't raising the bar..yea..he is making decent money for mediocre fights...but unfortunately for all his dedication he will be utterly forgotten

                      To be perfectly honest...

Wilder couldn't even beat Shannon Briggs!

Briggs would be the best opponent he had ever faced and would flat out knock the lanky bum for a six!

Briggs would become a HW champion of the world, once again after all!!!
