I'm almost positive Haymon still owns a nice % of some of the dozen or so businesses he started in the concert promotion world, despite selling off most of his main company, so most of his income comes from that. Boxing is probably peanuts to him & a small % of his annual income right now. Although it would be a nice windfall for him I'm sure if they can make a boxing version of the UFC 5-10 years downs the road, but that is a gamble & not a definite outcome obviously.

I think his main income is a large reason why he's able to offer lesser % managerial contracts to boxers. I think the typical manager contract is 25%-33% & there usually isn't a above x dollars point like with most of the contracts I've heard of with Haymon thus if Haymon isn't getting you over x dollars for a fight he doesn't make a dime.

Al Haymon is a clever dude, he graduated from Harvard and has ran several businesses before. I'm pretty sure that he has already forecasted this and made multiple scenario plans along with contingency plans.

so if they burned through 143 million, then 15% of that is $21,450,000 or if thats 30% its 42,900,000

Haymon the man, this he is really all about the fighters is not really true he all about the dollar, keep over paying and feeding bums to his top fighters to keep them winning just keep making him money.

That why he signing everybody up no matter who what or talent level, win or lose he getting paid.
technicaly, Haymon would only be getting paid his percentage on the portion of revenue that was spent on fighter purses. He would not be getting paid on the time buys, travel, promotional expenses, etc.....

its still a nice chunk of cheese though......

there are plenty of Harvard grads, as well as grads from other prestigious schools, who have had businesses fail and go bankrupt. Ask Donald Trump who could buy and sell Haymon many times over about failure. Or how about you take a run to the Trump Casino in Atlantic City to see how it's going.

So he graduated from Harvard. Big ****ing deal. There are athletes out there who graduated from Universities all over the US who can barely spell their name.

I have friends who have started businesses with a small business loan from the government who have made more profit in their first few months than PBC will make in their first two years. And they don't have a Harvard degree either.

I'm sure that Haymon is also getting paid a handsome sum of money to run the PBC operations as well as what he makes off the fighters purses. The guy is cleaning up.

Here's a very interesting story if you really want to know the story behind PBC:

Pbc will fail because it is not a good product. Plain and simple.

This is a chance to reinvigorate boxing in the United States, get the American media talking about it but when the best fights are DeGale v Dirrell and Thurman v Guerrero then you know things are not going the right way.

Plus, maybe I'm mistaken but won't the best fights be aired on Showtime PPV anyway? They won't be out there for the general public to consume anyway, so what we get are undercard fights being paraded as main events. HBO has done 2 events since the biggest fiasco in boxing event and both those fights have, at the very least, entertained.

Edit: Not to mention all the fun fights we've already had in the UK.

I think the match ups have been great and I'm not convinced they would have happened without Haymon trying to put on competitive fights to get people interested.

                      Thurman v Guerrero
                      Garcia v Peterson
                      McDonnell v Kameda
                      Burns v Figeroa
                      Lee v Quillin
                      DeGale v Dirrell
                      Khan v Algieri
                      Dirrell v Jack

Were all interesting match ups on paper and that's in the space of 3 months.

What's been so hot about UK boxing this year? All our good fights were on PPV the other week.

There's not really been much else to write home about.
