You calling names and insulting me doesn't do anything for your point, it just makes you look like a jackass who has no idea how to properly talk as an adult for someone who is supposed to be damn near 60.

It involves athletes
It is organized
There are rules
The only thing different about boxing than other sports is the fact is is governed by no one and is set up in a totally piss poor fashion. PBC is a possible solution to that issue bringing it much more in line with other sports.
I mean what is so hard to get about this and why does this make me of lesser intelligence than you? I have conducted myself pretty well for all the insults and your piss poor attitude toward actual discussion.
Once again I would say look in the mirror because I see lots of people that got what I was saying and you are the one pretty much standing alone. Don't put your situation or problems on me. Or are you just on a boxing message board to disparage boxing?

Boxing consists of a number of independent contractors (boxers) who may fight anywhere from zero to 6 or more times per year depending on their current level in the sport. The more popular and successful the fighter, the lower number of fights he usually has per year. Boxers do not represent any particular city or state and do not have any real connection to the community they come from. There is no merchandise sales to speak of. There is no central governing body in the sport, no season to speak of and no playoff season with a championship at the end. Champions basically make up their own rules as to when to defend their titles and who to defend them against. Boxers may also create their own conditions for their fights, such as catchweights, ring size and glove type. There are no set rules that must be followed as there is nor central governing body. There are currently 17 weight classes in boxing and somewhere in the area of 78 various titles to be won.
No, you are right... boxing is exactly the same as other sports.

Each season has a schedule to follow and a team travels to other cities throughout the season to play away games as well as playing at their home arena or stadium. Like I said boxing has been run in a piss poor fashion, but it is organized, there are rules and it involves athletes competing in competition.
To me that sounds like there is some potential there to bring the sport more in line with other organized athletics, which i assume is what Haymon and privet equity see the chance to be running what could be a currently undervalued sport.
And like I said you are a naysayer all you are doing is pointing out obvious stuff that is pretty much trivial to whether the venture will succeed or fail.

And how would a fan know how much Haymon's company spent? Based on what Haymon's company spent on the time-buys, purses to date and expenses, it still doesn't come close to that alleged number. For example, their most expensive show to date was the first NBC show with Thurman-Guerrero and they spent around 8-9 million on that show. Most of that expense was the crazy advertising and high production cost of the very first PBC telecast.
And the hedge fund losing it's worth is a matter that is unrelated to Haymon or his venture.

The Canadiens are shown on Hockey Night in Canada in Eastern Canada on the CBC network, the Leafs are shown in Ontario and central Canada and Calgary and Vancouver in their respective markets. This will all change next year with the new deal the NHL signed with Rogers, but it has been this way since the first day hockey was aired on Canadian television.

Outflows hit Waddell & Reed funds http://t.co/Z6P3zWDyfj this is interesting...

Why this has nothing to do directly with the PBC (hurting from other investments), it could be a threat to to their future funding.

Mutual funds***39; troubles may negatively impact the Premier Boxing Champions http://t.co/eozimiV0D8 via @YahooSports

Iole reiterating what we already covered 10 days ago - Waddell & Reed lost a ton of investor backing and that puts the PBC future funding in jeopardy.
I like tonight's fight, but Haymon's burned through a ton of money in unnecessary fashion. Million dollar paydays to Lara and Guerrero for BS stay busy fights in front of nobody with low tv numbers when the market value for those fights wouldn't even be an eighth of that.
All the while Haymon's lining his own pockets with his 20% fee. I hope he pulls his head out of his ass and starts running things more intelligently and stops acting like this is a frivolous money grab.
