The point that your willfully ignoring is that Algieri was just coming off of a 12-0/11-1 drubbing at the hands of Manny Pacquiao, who then turned around and got thoroughly outclassed by Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Trying to give the credit to Khan based on some assumed future performance by a current opponent is a bit much.
