That signed agreement will be legally binding which is why neither Cotto nor Canelo wish to sign it. Neither of them want to get in the ring with GGG.

No agreement, no deal and GGG forces WBC to abide by their own mandatory rules. As Loeffler said after the Monroe fight, Golovkin has spent enough of his career waiting on empty promises and he is not going to waste any more time. He wants the title more than a signed agreement to fight a year or so down the line or step aside money and they will do what they must to get that title.
rubio took em to court, i highly doubt that ggg gets a signed contract from both canelo and cotto since he isnt willing to go down in weight, plus that will prob be like dictating at two fighters with huge egos, his best bet is to force wbc to do something, i guess we'll just have to wait and see..

GGG is the mandatory challenger. No weight conditions can be imposed on a mandatory defense, it must be at the division limit. Both Golovkin and Loeffler have stated that he will not step aside for only a financial payment. It will take a signed agreement. If he does not step aside, WBC will have no choice but to strip Cotto.

Folks, it's clear. History will know that Cotto ducked GGG. And history will know WHY: Because GGG beats people down like dogs.

History will almost certainly rank Cotto higher than Golovkin.

And unless Golovkin actually does something meaningful in the near future.....
..... then history will rank Cotto MUCH higher than Golovkin.

          Just sayin.....

Pretty sure Martinez put some kind of bind on that since he actually got the fight. I didn't watch the Maravilla doc... but they supposedly delve into that

He threatened and then got smacked down when they said the contract was only if Martinez won or some B.S like that

They must make something considering he's milking and **** riding that middle weight title all he can. Don't pretend he's mayweather if they didn't mean anything he woulda declined to pay the fee and just fought Martinez and kept it pushing.
