Yea, ironically, I thought Geale started out livelier on his feet than in the Golovkin fight. He couldn't get clean shots on Miguel though I think that has more to do with the opponents than with Geale cutting weight.

Trout needs to injure his knee then Cotto will fight him.

Yea no version of geale beats cotto. He had a huge size advantage tonight, his best chance, and failed miserably.

Probably not but I think Geale could've had a better gameplan. If he did what Peterson did in the first 5-6 rounds against Garcia, kept moving avoiding exchanges, he could've taken the fight into the second half and took advantage of Cotto's weak engine in the second half of the fight when the snap would've gone off his punches.

What Geale did tonight, trying to pressure Cotto and get inside early was just suicide.

Shows how terrible geale is that despite dwarfing cotto he wasn't able to use his size to his advantage. I actually never want to see geale again. He ditched this fight.

I dunno, you could say the same about De La Hoya and Cotto against Pacquiao. Sometimes imposing your size is tough when the smaller guy is faster and hits harder (and is just flat out better).

He would've lost anyway but I thought Geale should've fought on past the second k/d, he got up too damn quick and quit because he was still dizzy.

I don't want to see Geale on the major stage again unless he earns it, he didn't earn this title shot.

                  He's certainly rejuvenated himself.

I've ragged on cotto in the past and I do think he has had one or two strokes of fortune in his career, however I can't fault his hard work in the last couple of years.

Trout was able to neutralize Cotto's jab and is just an overall bad stylistic matchup for Miguel. If you can take away Cotto's jab he has no right hand to follow it up with.
