Why wasn't Cotto able to hurt Trout?

I think it's safe to say that Trout is chinny,he's been knocked Down in each of his last 3 fights, while Cotto has shown the ability to knock guys 20 lbs heavier than him through the ropes.Has Cotto at age 34 suddenly developed other worldly power or was Geale a zombie?

I remember Trout not responding well to 3-4 body shots

Because he has feather fist above 140 we have known this since his fight against Oktay Urkal. Hios career has been a joke since the Floyd fight

Hate to say this, but I haven't seen a better set up left hook or left hook to the body since Roach came aboard for Cotto.

We can argue if Roach is a good trainer or not, but the truth is, Roach has given Cotto confidence and it shows.

Cotto was near shot then. He's had a chance to change things up and while I didn't think he'd ever come back to old form, he seems to have done just that. The Cotto that fought Trout would have struggled tonight.

He wasn't in great physical shape when he first moved up, he was soft to the body. He's better conditioned now, and definitely hitting harder.

After cotto lost to trout I thought he should retire. It was like watching Holyfield lose to john Ruiz. Cotto looked dead against trout. Roach has revitalized him and he looks great now. I'm conflicted on this victory. I'm impressed by cotto beating the hell out of a bigger man but, disgusted by geale quitting again.

So you're saying Roach is the difference and that a trainer like Emmanuel Steward that always preached punching through the target didn't have a younger Cotto punching with conviction....interesting.

Cotto does not like Technical fighters.
