I'm confident that if the two were to ever fight again, Martinez would knock him next time because Guerrero for the first time in his career is now showing signs of a shopworn fighter.

I said this before, he should have scheduled a fight at a later date. I think claims of him being shot are somewhat premature. Look at his fight with Keith, how long do you think it would take him to physically and mentally recover.

He could be done, but it is incredibly ****** to expect a top performance out of him after only 3 months have passed.

Ghost looked bad in there. I thought Martinez won, he was giving Robert the biz. He had Ghost sleeping on the ropes before the eventual KD haha. Robert needs to go back to the drawing board or really reconsider his future in the sport.

However, remember that this was a hand picked opponent. Robert knew fully well what he was doing and what he was getting himself into. Had Martinez been some 60 day mandatory title defense then this performance could have been very well rationalized but he was nearly stopped by a guy with just four kos that he should have mopped the ring canvas in there with, given all of his championship experience and superior career resume.

This fight reminded me a lot of the Fernado Vargas' return bout against Wilfredo Rivera, where he was dropped in the second round after losing to Felix Trinidad in his previous bout. It became very apparent to almost everyone after that knockdown that the Tito fight ruined Vargas as he was never the same fighter. Now the very same could be true about Guerrero after his brutal loss to Thurman also.
