It's just ridiculous to me. A fighter is defending his title and yet comes in a pound under the weight class under the weightclass he is defending his title in... Explain how that is okay?

simple, if you feel you can compete with middleweights, no matter your weight(enough with being under the limit), I see that as a good challenge.

The wrong part here, is Cotto trying to drain the other fighter to seek for a advantage.

Like I care about it, lets move on, and expect the Nelo fight ASAP.

In the meantime GGG challenge himself with Froch and hopefully Lemiux/N'dam or Lee.

There is a minimumweight. You are not allowed to weigh in excess of 3% of Cotto's weight for a mediummiddleweight fight.

There is no limit on how light a fighter can come in (unless you are talking about the 105 lbs division than yes thats the lightest)

Cotto is not a middleweight. He came in under the Jr Middleweight limit. Geale is a live dog with weight advantage. Cotto should be careful.
