Cause havyweight sells. The US is the Mecca of boxing and they will support their guy and that guy being a heavyweight opens up room for potentially a lot of money to be made. The same reason why AJ is being marketed like Crazy. Wlad make like 20 mill a fighter because although envious Americans call him boring, he's an icon in Germany and Eastern Europe.
Co sign!Lmao!!!
I watch boxing no matter the weight class, had high hopes for Bermaime and Arreola.
Like both Klitschos, there just hasn't been many heavyweight bouts televised on my channels,Hbo&Showtime.
At that weightclass I'm looking for more exciting bouts.Cause generally speaking 1 punch could end the fight quicker than the other classes.Plus the fighters stamina winds down faster.Generally speaking of course.
The lack of American HW's is because of the lost of interest in boxing by the athletes with potential most have taken up baseball and football instead. As for wladimir and Vitaly not getting any support over here is simple they became boring, earlier on when they first came on the scene the bias boxing folks like Larry Merchant and HBO execs were excited about them till they realized the guys were not American and therefore couldn't sell them to the American public as the great white hopes. Because whether you accept it or not boxing is a nationalist sport.
